Erm yeah, sorry about that Embarassed - Was in a hurry this morn and had run out of allocated memory so had to find hack around - Will fix it later.

However, I thought it was worth posting rather than waiting!

(OT: Mods I've tried deleting some of my previous pics and downsizing a few - What do I need to do to regain space-Thanks)

I recommending adding photos as an attachment. The board automatically thumbnails the attached image.

There's an allocated quota for attachments... It appears I've reached and breached despite deleting a few old ones. Otherwise I would have done that Razz

PS. H-Bar neutrality has been restored

The internet simply cannot handle the bandwidth of your ARG analyses.

strange image on t shirt moon

To me the image overlapping the moon looks like a comet, followed by the trail/tail...

Ice Cream Truck

I didn't see anything mentioned in the other forums about this:

For those that have seen the ice cream truck, did anyone notice any correlation between the time it was around and the times on HLM site?

just curious

Nope - HLM moon peak times are usually 28-32mins, van was about much longer. Even the time of appearing doesn't really correlate without arguing timezones which is a circular moving goalpost approach.. Also examining the route revealed nothing new.

Excellent Ice Cream Van Pics here:

RE: Van:

- 2 Planetoids (?Tethys by Coop and Titan on other side) + RP logo "moon"
- Saturn
- Classic RP logo, but rocks the pair are sitting on now apparent.
- NO SATURN BLAST FLEET
- License plate is 1B03193

Couple thoughts.

Here are a few ideas I had, the first one is a stretch. Very Happy

What if the RP truck is from outer space? The truck was "landing" at the locations on Twitter. "Real Spacemen Love Rocket Poppeteers" could be men from space. The father and son, truck driver and hot chicks are all aliens. Would have no real bearing on the movie, but goofy fun for the game.
And the aliens have a PO Box in Minot ND, which is where they were sighted in 1967 during the Minot AFB B-52 UFO Incident. Rolling Eyes

I agree with others that "Coop" sounds like he's ready to give Sierra Leone a run for it's money in the child soldier department.

Also, I hope we get to choose "fleets". It would be cool to have small factions within the main team, could set up some good competition to see which fleet completes a mission first.

A few posts back, somone noted that his friend at CC got his picture taken when he said he had the letter (or maybe the Braegen 14 file on his phone) by someone affiliated with the truck, not necessarily the driver. Does anyone know if something strange like this happened to anyone else?

It definitely did happen to my buddy, and he also noticed when he finally found the truck that there was a dude standing off to the side auspiciously, clearly supervising what was going on. Not surprising, just thought I would mention it.

Weird. Perhaps has to do with what JJ said about fans starring the movie. :/

Theme Song ...

comadarkvale wrote:
i actually just thought the theme would be the theme that the truck was playing. And the themd would be a clue later on.But no one who was there has said much about what the truck played.

Does anybody know if anyone recorded images of the truck with a camcorder?
This would be the only way in which we could "hear" the theme song ..

LOLOL!!! - An ice cream truck just came around the corner as I typed this!
Seriously ... Some little lullaby that I can't quite place my finger on.

Normally, it's this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/notramstolimestreet/3454764652/

But, today ... (Took a while, but I found it!)

Markings on the t-shirt

IF the moon(?) we're looking at on the RP t-shirt is one of Saturn's (Titan, possibily, as has been mentioned), could the odd mark that has recently showed up on the RP moon be some stylized portion of the rings of Saturn?

Has nobody focused on the fact that it would be very difficult for Coop and the kid to be pointing at any other moon than ours in that scale? They would have to be sitting on Saturn to point at Titan like that. I think there is a little too much analysis going on here, no offense.

Yes, that has been brought up/discussed, and attribute it to artistic licence, etc.

Sure the ad's appealing to kids, and what kid who'd be sending in a coupon in the 60s be able to infer from the RP in the newspaper that it is anything other than earth's moon, I don't know.

But this isn't obviously a real ad from the 60s, and it's appealing to ARGers/ettes, so is it our moon? Sure looks like it; could it be another moon in our solar system, sure. I mean, why stop there? Do we feel that Saturn is the only planet in the universe to have rings around it? This could be some scene from an alternate universe for all we know!

Oh, and here's the links:

And I don't know if you're deserving, but from what I got with the Euchre's link, no fishy, you get a flounder comment, FWIW:

Back off the aggressive fishing dude, I've read every post in this forum. My point is simply that I think trying to find out what moon it might be is a stretch of the material we've been given. The question was rhetorical, in an effort to point out my view is that this is quite a stretch.

Adding that opinion doesn't deserve a trout, but thanks anyway. Rolling Eyes
