People were trying to get Adrian wife buried. That muscle bound fool had run off to drive more vehicles into more buildings presumably. The little girl, defenatly a kid unlike that Bee Bee girl, had hopefully gone home. But there was still someone missing......

"Hey, where's that emo lookin guy?"

Chris unlocked the doors to the bus and piled on. Dammit Bus number 69 was damaged. He found that noone followed him onto the bus. Psh. If they wanna die, fine.

They were probably plant a bomb or something in the bus anyway.
What the fuck? Adrian probably killed his own wife. Shot her with his gun because she didn't make a fucking sandwich for him. And that one girl that came out of nowhere and yelled at everyone. She needs to get a tampon. Chris slapped himself. Stop. Dont think like that.
Nobody got him, he just needed to help. Fuck these people man.

No, he's gotta save them.

He drove the bus back toward the hotel. Everyone ignored him. He flipped them off and yelled: "Fine go and die you bitch asses." He continued to drive until he saw an unconcious guy on the road. Oh yea, this guy was on the bus too. This guys had major bruises too. Shit, was he out in the forest all night?

Damn what a bad ass.

Chris saw just a bare flicker of a tentacle in the trees. This guy probably just got attacked. Quickly Chris carried the guy onto the bus. He was getting out of here.

Adrian looked around, stunned. Multiple people were trying to comfort him. Even ones he'd barely spoken to, acknowledge, or treat well. It, it made him actually produce tears. He wiped them away, and looked to see Chris, who had just slapped the cigarette out of his mouth, pull back, and call out to everyone how they wanna die and shit.
Adrian looked at them. "Look, I'm really grateful for this, but you need to catch up with him. This may be your last chance to escape. Me. I need to bury her." He looked at his wife's body.
"I want you to all know that you're great people. Better then me. But you shouldn't throw your chances of survival away." He paused. "And although I know you all are probably speculating it, but I didn't kill her."
He walked over and picked up hims wife's body. She looked peaceful, even in death. He looked at the people in front of him.
"She deserves a proper burial. I owe her that much. You guys go ahead. I'll find a way to get out of this god forsaken hell. Don't throw away your chance." He said in his normal, raspy voice.
" Thanks for everything." He said, and headed for the door to go and bury his wife.

It sounded tempting. But J.T. didn't like the idea of leaving the man out here. It seemed like a waste. One thing for sure, though, there was no way in hell he was chasing after Chris. He would rather help the rest of the people here.

"Alright,"he said to those that were left. "Hoping to God that the craziness is over for now, I say we camp out for now, wait for daylight. That's the only thing I see working currently. No one goes alone, everyone sticks together...and hopefully we'll all see the sun come up. Only a couple more hours. Safer moving during the day than it is at night."

I hope...

Seemed no one cared for the emo guy then. Adrian started walking away. Once again that J.T guy started shouting orders to everyone. "Fuckin' hero" John muttered. Adrian had been searching for his wife. He found her dead. John was searching for his brother. It was even more urgent that he found Sam. John wasn't sticking here in some psychotic boy scout trip. He left through the same door as Adrian.

BeeBee glanced after John's retreating back. She was a little concerned over the fate of the "emo-looking" guy; but she barely knew him.

As for the matter of Chris....

He was cute, in a muscleheaded Twilight heart-throb way. His ignorance and innocence was a little appealing...in any other situation, that was.

What if this had been another place, another time? Bri probably would have been embarassed, flattered by the attention, considered whether or not it was worth giving him her number. He was GOOD, really. Not bright, but good. Trying to help all of them, even if he made one stupid move after the other.

But this wasn't any situation. This was life or death.

Bri was scared to die. So if it meant throwing a good, muscleheaded guy like Chris to the wolves......

She hated to do it, but she wasn't ready to die.

"Agreed with JT," she murmured softly. "He seems to prey on people alone. If things go well, we can get on the road at daylight."

She stood up, pulling her bag to her chest. "And.... if anyone wants to join....." She left the sentence open-ended. She had a hard time thinking they would just condemn others to their deaths, but.....

If need be.

BeeBee didn't want to die.

Chris took out his jacket from his bag and laid it over the unconcious guy and put him in sitting position on the seat. It was almost daylight.

That was damn freaky though, when he first jacked that bus it was totally in the afternoon, now though, the sky was a light purple, and the reflection of the rising sun made the clouds look orange. It was pretty awesome.

"Man, this is why some people take hikes this early." Chris thought. He took out his phone and took a pic of the sky with the trees. And there was no distortion in the picture. It was a miracle.

He looked back at the guy again. Maybe he had his own plans. Chris checked the guy's pulse. Seemed pretty healthy. Those wounds were just probably skin wounds. Chris shook the guy for a second and the guy grunted. Chris laughed. Wow this guy was sleeping?

He backed the bus up back to the hotel to get another look at everyone. They seemed to just be chillin.

He got off and carried the guy in. In case he got attacked.
JT seemed to be in charge. Chris told him:
"Hey um, you guys waiting till daylight? Im waiting till this dude either wakes or until it daylight to leave. We can like... carry bed mattreses or something down here in case people are tired... like... we'll have two guys watch over and then rotate as each sleeps? Like in the movies?"

Chris looked back at the bus. There were already two right in front of the hotel. Hopefully he wouldnt have to jack a third before daylight.

J.T. sat down and popped a piece of gum into his mouth. It felt like years since his last stick; he really needed the calm down.

Without thinking, he pulled out the picture he kept of his girlfriend with her Lab. He smiled at how beautiful she looked; brown hair, wet and curly from the shower, that cute smile that melted his heart, the dimples that made his stomach flip. This girl made his life simple, made his life happy; she had brought him back from a bad place in his life. And he had brought her out of a pile of shitty relationships and douchebag male friends...

Suppose this was it. Suppose he never got back to her. Was God or whoever was running the universe really going to let this be the end of a happy thing? No, he wouldn't let that...he was getting home, he was seeing her again...

He stared at that picture for a long time, the loud sound of his chewing carrying on through the lobby.

BeeBee looked around and saw things were settling down as much as possible. Chris's idea about dragging mattresses down for eventual sleep was pretty good; they'd have to go in a group to get them, though.

In the meantime, she had to do something to settle her nerves. Something that WASN'T taking another pill. She pulled out her sketchbook.

Maybe drawing something would help. She pulled the mechanical pencil out of the spiral binding of the book and flipped it open.

In fact, drawing this- her surroundings, the people around her- might be a good way to remember what happened now, in case she lost another three hours like before...

She pencilled in a few rough circles before remembering the bus drawing from earlier that she had begun the same way. She'd erased it... but hadn't those circles ended up looking almost like....?

Suddenly she realized she was a few pages ahead of where she should be in her book. She'd been on the back of a page, and now she was on the front. Had she just gotten lost, or.....?

Bri started to flip through the pages and a sick feeling settled in her stomach. There were six pages, at least, before the one she'd filled with information on "slenderman"...
FULL of drawings.

Things BeeBee didn't recognize. Things she would never draw. Numbers scrawled frantically in the margins of the page, rushed drawings of that (x) symbol, drawing after drawing of the spindly man in the suit, frantic scribbles that....
good god, when had she drawn a man being ripped to pieces?
Oh dear LORD, was that brownish stain what she thought it was?

She dropped the book, looking at it in horror. It hit the ground with a THUMP, muffled and without echo in the room now minus one wall. not a loud enough sound to disturb anyone, but it jarred her nerves.

(Imma control J.T. for like a line i dont think itll change anything though)

And a... 1 and a...2 and a...3. Hup! Chris lifted the mattress on one side. He quickly pushed the mattress up and caught it straight in the center. Slowly he lifted the entire mattress with his own two hands. It wasnt that hard though, he held it up so that weight was evenly distributed.

He walked ever so delicately through the hallway. He saw the lights flicker a bit... suddenly the ding from the elevator kept dinging. Chris felt a presence behind him. But Chris couldn't turn around or he would lose balance and the bed would topple over smashing him and snapping his spine. Chris picked up the pace. As soon as he entered the lobby the weird occurance stopped.

"Frick" he whispered.
Everyone else was chillin. It was almost daylight now. The sky was a dark blue. Chris pushed the mattress onto the lobby floor, but it didn't seem to fall quite right. He asked J.T. to feel the mattress. J.T. agreed it didn't feel right either.

Chris ran out the door to find John and ask for his knife.

Adrian's hands, covered in dirt , were gripping the shovel so hard, it caused him pain. He had gone and gotten a shovel, that he'd found in the terminal, then went to the edge of the forest, to bury his meaning for existing. His hands were growing very red, as he gripped it tighter, and his tears fell on his hands. The hole wasn't deep enough quite yet, but it was almost there. While digging Adrian had made his decision.

Get everyone out of there, then, when he was sure that thing wouldn't get any of them, even Chris, he would head off, and commit suicide. It was his only answer. He had no reason to go on. He may sound emo, or whatever, but it didn't matter to him. He just kept digging. Then, as he stopped for a break, he wondered something. Why would Chris drive the bus through the building?

True, he was bone-headed, but he wasn't a moron. He wouldn't do that on purpose, there must have been a reason. Then Adrian noticed. In a clearing, through the woods, it was there. Two arms, two tentacle.... things. It stared, as a slight glow of morning showed over the horizon. Adrian stared, scared out of his mind. Btu he didn't back down like before. After taking a large gulp, he went back to digging.

He had no reason to live, if it wanted him, it could come and get him. Hopefully the others would see him and make a run for it. He dug for a minute. Then looked up. It hadn't attacked him. It wasn't there. Why? Why would it leave him to live? What did it want?

All of these questions ran through his head, as Adrian ran his hands through his hair. He felt like he was loosing him mind. He looked now, and saw the hole was big enough. He bent down next to the corpse, and shut her eyes. He kissed her on the cheek, and whispered, "Goodbye, my sweet Julia."

Then he picked the body up, and carefully put it in the hole, crying the whole time. He then stood up, and grabbed the shovel. Once he was finished, he would head inside.

[Next time ask me directly. I am very VERY nit-picky about other people taking control of characters that I write about; although the authorities can't prove anything, several other writers I've associated with have never been found. Just saying.]

He tried to call Christine again, just to hear her voice, or try to. She was probably asleep, but he needed to know she was still there, if she was thinking, worrying about him.

He brought the phone to his ear and instead of a dial tone all he heard was a loud burst of static that almost blew his eardrum out. He instantly ended the call and pocketed his phone when a more disturbing thought came to mind.

The static was supposed to mean he was near, according to the videos and the forums...he immediately looked around, half-expecting a no-faced man to be among the survivors, but no one by that description was to be found. But he had to be around, hadn't he? He wouldn't just randomly hear that static...

He was close. J.T. just wasn't sure HOW close.

Thalci watched Adrian finish burring his dead wife. The scene was heart wrenching; she would have helped him dig, but she figured that wouldn't have been appropriate. So she had merely kept watch over him, leaning on the hotel's wall, to make sure he didn't do anything stupid.

Grief does strange things to people...

At one point he had looked up, into the forest, but Thalci hadn't seen anything. And a minute later she couldn't recall anything odd happening at all.

John stood in the clearing he had found Adrian unconcious and the two tree corpses. Adrian was obviously off burying his wife, but the corpses were gone. John knew that the thing lurked in these woods but he had to find Sam and John had a feeling he'd find him out here. John knelt, looking for tracks in the soft soil when he came upon a series of stones lined to spell "Youll never find him". John stood up sharply. Was someone trying to screw with him? There was a snapping of branches and John spun around, rifle at the ready...

Like a ninja, John spun around with his rifle pointed at Chris' chest.

Chris backed off.
"Woah woah. Bro. i need your knife. theres something in the mattress that we need to take out. Really. you don't have to give it to me but if you can help me cut open it, that would be awesome"
