"Wait wait wait wait wait," The words tumbled out of his mouth as he tried to keep calm, but was quickly failing. "Bri attacks you...so you brain her...with a golf club..."

The guy nodded.

It didn't sound right. The girl couldn't even keep herself from getting in the middle of an Adrian and Chris feud, how the hell was she supposed to actually attack? She was a neurotic bag of nerves... but it was one that, as he thought about it, in recent hours seemed to be getting further and further down the tiny little path of insanity.

Why else had she believed everyone was out to kill her? Because they had given off that impression. She had been there for every little tizzy and fight and near-murder that had occurred since they had arrived at this place...how much effect could that have before a girl decided that enough was enough and decided to take matters into her own hand?

So, yes, maybe she was starting to go a little crazy. Now he had a new fear; that they would all lost it before it was time to set their feet out the door. They had to go. Now.

"Come with me, and I can explain. It's a long story, but an important one. If you don't wish to die, I'd take my hand." said the man in front of her. Lily watched him. He seemed gentle, but under examination, he was pretty messed up. Adrian probably didn't even realize how bad. Dark, dark, bags under his eyes, dirt, and dust all over his shirt and jeans, and minor cuts in random places. So Lily hesitated, but eventually reached out, and took the hand.

He pulled her upward, and they walked over to two other people. One had ran over and talked about a girl on the roof, and choking him. Lily's eyes grew big, but she noticed something out of the corner of her eye. The man was staring at her. Lily looked over at him, her hand still in his. He WAS staring at her.

"Uh, um....." Lily sputtered, unsure of what to say or what to make of the situation. "Why would this girl be doing this?" She asked the man. Adrian just stared. Then he pulled her away from the others. When he stopped, he spoke quickly.

"Here is what is going on. SomeTHING, is out there and trying to kill us. It blends in with the trees. It resembles a human, but it's not. Initially it looks like an average tall man in a business suit, but in actuality, it's something else." Lily stared. There were only three conclusions to make. One, this suspicious man was telling the truth, and she needed to be on guard. Two, she was dreaming, and needed to awake from a horrible nightmare. Or three, everyone here had cracked, and she needed to leave.

Adrian had pulled the girl named Lily over when Neil had shown up, yet all of Neil's words to him had fallen on deaf ears. Adrian was too focused on Lily. There was something about her. She was so familiar. Either he'd known her before, or there was just something about her. He didn't know, but he couldn't concentrate on anything else. He pulled her aside, and spoke quickly.

"Here is what is going on. SomeTHING, is out there and trying to kill us. It blends in with the trees. It resembles a human, but it's not. Initially it looks like an average tall man in a business suit, but in actuality, it's something else." He said. She stared, and he tried to guess what she was thinking. He guessed it was along the lines of, Adrian is crazy as hell, so Adrian prepared to stop her from running.

Then, he remembered something. He needed to talk to Chris. In times like this, unity was key. And right now, Chris and Adrian were one remark away from bloody faces. So Adrian let go of Lily's hand, and took about ten steps. Then he looked back. Lily was backing up slightly, and looked ready to turn if Adrian made the slightest movement. So, on the spot, Adrian decided to give her an ultimatum.

"Are you coming?" He asked with a surprisingly good questioning tone, to make it seem like he didn't know what she was thinking. Lily looked at him, and slightly bit her lower lip. She was making the decision now or never. And she did. She ran up beside him, and then they continued to walk, to go see Chris. Adrian smiled.

Good, another person safe. Maybe I can find out who she is before this whole thing is over. He though

Bri grinned up at John; licking the blood away from the corner of her mouth. Neil HAD hit her pretty hard, hadn't he? Harsh. What a friend, and after she'd tried to save him, too.

She looked John over, judging him for a second. That look in his eyes... she wasn't going to catch him off-guard. He knew what she was doing.

So she should take her leave, for now.

She gave John a theatrical bow and waved her exit, before turning and opening a door. As expected, she came out not on the other side, but in the woods. And what a good vantage point she was at... she could see everyone.

But who was THAT? That girl Adrian was standing next to? Someone new?

Hadn't Adrian been protceting BRI? Who was THIS... who was this bitch?

Some strange rage burned in Bri's throat, and it felt like the air around her was crackling with static electricity. She saw tentacles out of the corner of her eye.

She turned and- there he was, The Faceless One.
"I want to kill HER myself," she murmured to him.

He saw Bri come out the door and decided to try and talk to her. Anything to keep the situation normal was a good thing. He walked over, yet still kept his bat in his hand, in case something DID come up.

"Yo, Princess," he greeted. "How's it going?"

She didn't answer, instead staring off into the woods. He looked to see what she was staring at; he couldn't see anything.

"What'cha looking at? The stars? Looking good tonight...I don't know many constellations, save the Dippers or Orion or all that..."

No answer.

She was pretty cute, he thought, studying her. He had noticed that on the bus, but he couldn't help notice it again. Were it not for Christine, he might've made a move, but now, he just hoped whoever the lucky guy was that he took care of this girl when they made it out.

"Soooo, um...you doing okay? You seem awfully-"

She looked at him then, and the words died in his throat. Her look was just so...vacant. Like she was seeing him, but there was something else there, something different. She smiled, and it was the first time he remembered even seeing her smile and needless to say...it creeped him out.

"Oooo...kaaaay, um...yeah, I'm going to go now," he said. "Nice talking to you." And he turned and hurried back to the group as fast as he could.

Where was Jean?

Chris decided not to follow him, Jean could handle on his own. Hopefully. It was better to stay with the more urgent situation, which was Bri, who had just pulled a TIGER WOODS LOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOL.

Dont laugh yo, that shit hurts Chris shook his head grinning. Slenderman seemed to be retreating. Or maybe he had a different plan in mind. Either way, it was best to leave now, while things were settling down. Kind of.

Okay, actually they weren't, so why stay here when things are only getting worse?

Chris walked back to the bus that still worked that was in the hotel. He sat on the driver's seat and took the emo-looking guy and put him on the bus.

He leaned back on the chair and took a long sigh. It was 6:23 am. Chris couldn't believe he was even alive. So much had changed in the past twelve hours. He just needed a nap. Why not? Chris closed his eyes and evened out his breathing. This felt good. The last time he did that was.... forever ago.





Suddenly Chris took out his phone and threw it on the floor. His phone had gotten very hot. On it was a picture of Bri.... except without the facial features. Chris heard breathing behind him. Everything seemed to slow down..... but it was only Adrian and Lily. They wanted to talk? Chris showed Adrian the picture. Slenderman wasn't gone, he was only operating on a whole different level.

Jean looked behind him. And there was the Tall Man. From the next down, he actually looked suave, stylish. But his face, with the indentations where his eyes should have been, were the worst.

Jean vomited. This was terrible. Jean kept staring at the tall man. Like a... like a staring contest. A mental agony built up in Jean within each second that passed as he stared at the tall man behind him.

Just end me please..... Jean decided: fuck it. All his friends were dead. His family didn't want him back. He had nothing to lose. Just go out of life with a bang. Jean ran at the Tall Man, and hit him like a football tackle. Jean felt the fabric against his face as he hit the Tall Man, suddenly, the tall man withdrew, and went farther and farther away until he became just a speck, and dissapeared.

Jean's head hurt so badly. He vomited some more. Where was Jean anyways? Thats right, on top of the hotel. Jean scrambled down the stairs.

Adrian stared at the phone. He stared for a while, his heart, racing. He shook his head. Not Bri. Dear god not Bri. He looked at the others, and Chris at least knew just what this meant. Bri had been caught.

"Stay here." He said to both of them swiftly, and was off the bus, and out the door before either of them knew what the fuck had just happened. Adrian looked around. There was J.T., John....... and there, he finally saw poor Bri. Standing near the edge of the forest. Adrian took calm, walking steps over to Bri. He had his hands in his pockets , and was actually completely unafraid.

He stopped 10 yards from Bri. Bri turned away form the forest. Adrian knew who was there. Adrian looked up at the full moon. It was so perfect. Well played by the faceless bastard. After a moment he turned to Bri again, and looked her straight in the eye. She wasn't the same.

"Bri..... I'm not sure why, but I feel like you and me have some business to attend to. I'm not sure what, but we do I'm guessing." Adrian said, pulling out his lighter and playing with it in his hand. Then he saw her out of the corner of his eye. Lily, standing in the hotel doorway, leaning forward. Adrian waved his hand in her direction quickly, and she hid.

Then Adrian refocused on Bri. She was standing still, but Adrian was ready and tensed to move when she did.

Adrian was off the bus and out the door so quick, Lily did a double-take when looking at the doorway. She didn't know what to do or say. She barely knew these people, and nothing was stopping her from going back to her car and riding off, probably never seeing any of them again. So what was stopping her?(besides slendy;) Herself. That was the answer, and the one she desperately wanted to deny.

"Fuck me." She muttered, and ran off the bus and over to the doorway, after deciding to not even ask why a bus was in a hotel building in the first place. She reached the doorway, and took a step forward. Then she was waved off by Adrian. She obeyed, quickly. She was so scared, it was an instantaneous reaction. After a few second though, she mustered up some courage.

She ran out, over to the bus terminal as quickly as she could. Why? Because if her hunch was right, this girl was dangerous, and she needed to have a weapon. And there, leaned against the front door, was a shovel. Little did she know it was left by Adrian, who had buried his wife. She picked it up with both hands, and turned around. She took a deep breath, braced herself, and opened her eyes prepared for anything.

Adrian? He wanted to talk to her? Bri's shoulders loosened for a moment, and she took a step forward. "We do have...business..."

He was like the ringleader of so much of this. If anyone wanted to kill her... but it was HIM. He'd been so nice. He'd been so unfortunate.

"I..."

Suddenly a horrible, horrible, AWFUL screech filled her ears and she screamed, trying to drown it out. It was the most high-pitched, awful noise she'd ever heard- but when she looked at Adrian's face, he was calm. He couldn't hear it?

Or was HE the cause of it?

IT HURT. She had to make it stop. So screaming, she lunged for him.

With a sigh, Neil slumped down on a seat in the bus shelter, rubbing at his neck in the hopes of lessening the pain from the mottled bruising which had emerged from his encounter with Bri. The experience had rattled him badly, and he was on the verge of tears, though he didn't know why.

Then again, it's probably a reasonable reaction, he reasoned. You don't really know anyone here, apart from your only friend, and she just tried to kill you. Plus these other people probably think you're the crazy one, or are just as far gone and want you dead as well.

Neil's thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the sound of metal scraping along the ground. Looking around for the source, he spotted someone (the girl the guy in the suit was talking to before) holding a shovel, eyes tightly shut. He knew that he should be cautious: she could be under the Slender Man's influence, or insane or whatever, but he didn't care. He was falling apart, and he needed someone to just talk to.

"Hey," he said, wiping away his tears as he stood up. "You new to this little slice of hell?"

Lily opened her eyes. And there was a person. He had reddened eyes, perhaps because he had been crying, and had a slightly grim look. She felt so sorry for him, that she had lost sight of what was important.

"Hey,You new to this little slice of hell?" He said. She nearly cried, but instead let out a small, almost silent whimper. She reached her hand out, but out of the corner of her eye, she saw something happening. Something big. Adrian was being attacked. She re-gripped the shovel and looked at the man briefly.

"I'm sorry." She said before running off towards Bri and Adrian. Adrian was holding Bri's wrists, but she actually looked like she was overpowering him. Lily raised the shovel over her head. Bri was so focused, that she never noticed a charging Lily. Or maybe she did, but didn't see her as a threat.

Lily aimed and swung at the left leg with the metal part of the shovel, and screamed at the top of her lungs, "I'M SO SORRY!" It slammed into the leg, and the leg seemed to crippled. Lily backed up noticing tears in her eyes. She pulled up one shaky hand to wipe them away.

Adrian was stunned as Bri charged forward, arms, seeming more like claws, reaching for him. He grabbed her wrists as her hands were just about a foot from his face. Instantly, Adrian found something very wrong. Bri was much stronger than before. In fact she was overpowering.

"Bri..... calm down..... what's wrong?" he said, but no response. Bri had a ferocious look, and Adrian knew, he couldn't keep her at bay much longer. Stunningly he wouldn't have to. Out of nowhere came an extremely loud and piercing screech.

"I'M SO SORRY!" It said, and a object swung down and hit Bri somewhere. Bri crippled and fell to the ground. Adrian turned and ran to Lily. She barely saw him as he scooped her up and took off running towards the bus terminal. Neil was just staring at him. He screamed.

"GET YOUR ASS INSIDE, OR OPEN THE DOOR!!!" He screamed as he charged towards the bus terminal. But he foolishly looked back. And saw Bri. So pitiful, on the ground. He set Lily down and gave Neil a glare, in a way telling him to get her inside. Then he ran back, not realizing he was gripping the lighter in his hand.

He walked within twenty feet of Bri, and stopped. He looked at the lighter, now realizing it, and flicked it on, staring at the light for a second, before staring at Bri again.

Bri was definitely gone, John knew that much. That Neil guys story was looking better and better, especially after Bri had attacked Adrian. John had sat down for two seconds and shit had hit the wall again. John knew he was never going to find his brother, at least not for now, and just wanted to sit down. The woods girl had done a pretty decent job of taking out Bri and now Adrian stood over her with his lighter out.

"I hope your not intending on burning her man. She's already been smacked around, we should find away to restrain her"

Jesus Christ, what in the hell is going on?

J.T. watched in mixed horror as Bri got knocked right out, and now they were standing around her, Adrian holding the lighter over her with a hard look. This was going too far, WAAAY too far.

"Adrian, brother, listen," he said, taking a step forward. "Whatever you're thinking right now, don't. Alright? It ain't worth it. She's just a kid, man."

A kid that's been through way too much in the last twelve hours, he thought. Same as the rest of us.

"Come on, three hours ago, she was fucking harmless. She's snapped, alright? We just keep an eye on her."

Adrian didn't move, didn't look at him. His eyes still flickered between the lighter in his hand and the girl on the floor.

"Adrian, if we we want to get out of here, we're going in one piece. Alright? 'Cause I'm telling you right now, I am NOT going to jail for having an open barbeque on this girl. I ain't doing it. What happens when we get home and we deliver this girl to her family, huh? What, we just gonna say, 'Hey, sorry we torched your daughter, but she lost her mind from being chased by some ten-arm psycho and we had to snap her out of it'? Who the fuck would let that hold up in court, huh? Judge wouldn't even need to go to the jury for that one. We'd be screwed and tattooed."

He had no idea if that was true or not; he was an English major, not a criminal justice major. But it was worth a shot. They had to focus on getting out of here, and roasting Bri would only make things more complicated.

Adrian stared at everyone. He gave them an absolutely evil smile. They thought he was going to burn Bri. Time to have some fun. He Held it over his head, and stared at Bri. The others had looks of horror. Time to end this. And Adrian...... ran quickly past Bri, and into the woods. He began running to random bushes and small trees and lighting them on fire. He knew it would spread.

When he stopped and threw the lighter to the ground, a dozen bushes and trees were on fire. And he turned around. There was the faceless fucker. Adrian smiled hugely. And one of the tendrils shot out. It was clear it was angry, as it slammed Adrian on the head and knocked him out. It then picked Adrian up, and disappeared.

Chris yawned the biggest yawn of his life. like. ever.
He breathed out loudly with his nose. What time was it? 6:53. Daang. He never thought 7:00 was going to come. It was time to leave on the bus, whether they liked it or not. Chris had promised himself to stay the night so that no one would die, and he kept this promise. His job was over.

Chris made sure he found the keys, checked if the fuel was okay, and started up the bus. It was going to be a tricky drive out of the hotel. He saw Jean walk down the stair and let Jean in.

"I... not good today. Not Good. I nap." Jean laid down next to the unconcious guy.

Damnit. Chris was still responsible for these guys. A guy that was pretty much dead and a guy who couldn't speak english. Terrible people to take care of in a life/death situation.

Why couldn't I be forced to take care of an Eagle Scout? Damnit!

All of a sudden, Chris felt heat on the right side of his face. He drove the bus out... and saw the forest ablaze. Slenderman was walking away, with Adrian following behind. The others were just staring.

Chris looked at John. J.T. Bri. Lily. Thalci. and finallly, Adrian. These people were the last survivors out of the about 30 or so people that had started. Chris remembered when he got strange looks from EVERYBODY last night. It was strange to say Everybody now, because the people on the field... they were the only ones left.

Chris had no idea how to react to Adrian's soon to be death.

We came off with the wrong foot at the start. Things changed. We fought for control. People died..... In the end, we still helped each other though... am I going to let this monster we've all been hiding from get him?

Four hours ago, yes, but that was in a different light, when nobody understood me.

"I cant let these people alone" Chris yelled to nobody. He turned to Jean. "Buckle your seatbelt. Its gonna be a badass ride." Chris drove the bus towards the group of people. He grabbed Lily first, who was the most dazed. He didn't care if they thought they were going die. THey would if they stayed out here. Chris was going to man handle everyone on to the bus

After seeing the guy in the suit set fire to the forest before following the taller guy in the suit, and another one of the strangers grab the new girl and drag her to the bus, Neil decided that they were probably leaving soon, and got on the bus before they made him. He was pretty strung up, and slugging this guy would just make his situation worse. Walking over to where the girl was sitting, he stood for a moment before sitting down next to her, looking down at the floor.

"So... You hit Bri with a shovel?" he asked, turning his gaze toward her. He could tell that he had said the wrong thing. SHe was shivering from the shock of the incident, and it looked like she had been crying, her eyes probably as red as his were. "Sorry. I'm feeling a bit raw myself," he said, looking back at the floor, "I hit her with a golf club earlier, and if that wasn't bad enough for me to do, she happens to be one of my only friends."

Neil pulled out his spare bag of Skittles, and offered them to the girl. "Here, maybe this will help with the shivers," he said. "My name's Neil. If you need, like, tissues, or a jumper, or a hug or something, lemme know, mmkay?"

He turned to the other guys on the bus. "So, anyone care to tell me what happened here before I... uh... dropped in?

"My name's Neil. If you need, like, tissues, or a jumper, or a hug or something, lemme know, mmkay?" Lily stared at the man, who looked away and talked to some other people. How? How was it that these people could be so nice when they barely knew her. And at such a time? She didn't know. Still, she smiled.

She grabbed the skittles, and jumped over his knees. She gave him a quick smile, before running to the front, and running out the bus doors. She ran as fast as she could, knowing that Chris wouldn't be far behind. Towards the woods. Adrian had been so kind, and helped her out.... she had to do something.

She ran through a bush, and entered the area that was mostly ablaze. She stopped, and began sweating and thinking..... Oh, maybe I should just head back, I mean Adrian made the decision...., but she heard footsteps, so she hurried on instinctively.

She found a trail. Adrian was being dragged, that was clear. Legs trembling, she scurried ahead. She finally stopped behind a bush when she saw a clearing. There it was. Towering with the trees. Standing on those ferocious looking tendrils.

Staring at an unconscious Adrian. Lily's breathing increased, until she knew it was too loud. The thing looked away from Adrian for a moment, and Lily ducked down. She felt her heart race, and clenched her fists. Was she going to die????

It dragged the human with one of its tendrils while the other six walked it forward. It didn't stop until it reached its clearing. Finally it let go of the human, only to turn around, and stare at it.

It just stared for a minute or so, before leaning very close and bringing its head very close, and stopping. It seemed to be a while, but it was a mere couple of seconds. Then it leaned back, and continued to stare, until it heard a noise to its right.

Snapping its head in the sounds direction, it stared. It could have been an animal, or a human. It just stared though. Finally it turned its head back. Not to stare at Adrian though, but to advance back to the forest..... and back to the humans.

Adrian's dreams were haunting. They weren't extremely long lasting, but they were awful. Some were him being torn in half by the creature. Others were him standing there and watching the others die, seemingly rooted to the spot he was standing on. Yet there was one worse than all the others.

It was a meadow. A large tree stood out like a beacon in the distance. And there, in front of it stood the creature. Adrian thought to himself. I can't got to it, I'll die. I can't run form it, I won't make it. So I cannot move.
The worst part of this dream. Adrian knew this was just like real life.

Finally Adrian opened his eyes to see a dark figure glide over him, and then out of sight. He froze. How was he not dead? He didn't know.
