Re: Troubleshooting

This is my first time posting but I have read this forum since this ARG started. I am having a bit of trouble with the registration process. It finds my file (I sent in the coupon and got the letter) and then I get to the screen where I put my email address and my DOB and when I hit submit application a little screen comes up that says "Hold Tight Submitting Application" but its like it gets frozen there. Am I typing something in wrong? I have restarted the browser about 10 times now to re-try and no luck. I left it sitting this time and it has been sitting at this screen for about 30 minutes now. Is anyone else having this problem? How long did it take for your's to get to the congrats page with the theme song?

Check to see if you have the most updated Flash plug-in for your browser. The site is very animation-heavy on top of all the registration transactions you're trying to complete (along with all the new players doing the same).

If nothing else, an updated plug-in will eliminate that as the source of your issue and perhaps minimize any server-traffic effect.

This is exciting! I registered with the name "Legit" haha someone took "Tyler" so whatever I love that word. Smile They should put some games on the site, or something. Shouldn't the site be kinda old fashioned though? It was in a newspaper from awhile ago..

I know i haven't been around lately however i haven't stopped checking in every now and then. I am fully registered with both ways as the first way (with letter) didn't work at first so I used up my info as new recruit. Then I tried again earlier with all the proper info (with letter) and it worked fine, only glitch i had was to create a new email for it. Oh well... All ready for duty.

On a side note what about using the punch cards, printing them out and putting them to the old newspaper clippings. Perhaps we get another message???

if there is an answer sheet with fifty true/false bubbles to fill in then what and where are the questions? Are we supposed to do something with this or is it decoration?

I'm certain it's just decoration.

Just wanted to triple confirm what I learned.

Astronaut name on coupon: SGT. Starborn
Astronaut name on letter: Sergeant Starborn
Astronaut name I had to enter on RP.com: SGT. STARBORN

In conclusion, you have to enter the name you wrote on the coupon in ALL CAPS in order to get the form to work.

I don't remember entering my name in all caps on the form, and it worked.

RP Registration is very frustrating and unpredicatble.

I don't want to create a new recruitment registration. I've tried all variants of my names and postal code. I didn't get a snapshot of specifically what I put on the coupon. That shouldn't be required. It shouldn't be case sensitive, and it should make sense by what you would have sent in.
eg, I hope that "thebruce" was not officially broken into "The Bruce" as was written on my response letter. I wrote it as I meant it. Confused

And ya, no response from info@ yet...

It doesn't matter whether you wrote it in all caps or not; it needs to be entered in all caps for everyone.

So, thebruce, yours should either be THEBRUCE or THE BRUCE

Not true for me. I first did it the way it was on the letter - no go, then the all caps way - no go, then the way *I* wrote it on the clip out -- all lower case (like here) and that is what worked for me.

Got the Coop's noted the early applicatis! msg.

Like wise when I put in mine it was entered "Tenshi Akui" with the space and the two caps. Took it fine.

In that case it looks like (as with the names on letters) a case of individual interns inputting information inconsistently.
