I appreciate Chainsaw for posting the RP lyrics, and no big deal, but FWIW can anyone else hear the "and" in the second verse:

""Who will sieze the day
And make the country proud to say?"

I hear it this way:

Who will seize the day
And make their country proud to say?

Goes by pretty fast though.

Lol, I'm pretty sure you're right. I literally took a minute to type all of that up. I'm surprised the rest of it is right. I even made a typo you corrected! Thanks.

I think they messed around with the site when they removed the two links Twodten found. They may have messed something up in the process?

No, thank you for transcribing it in the first place. Much easier to pick out the tough words once they're in context of all the others.

Community effort with a solid lead post = ARG goodness!

Yeah, Chainsaw, I wasn't trying to be critical by noting what I didn't hear, and I thought it was awesome how you were able to get the lyrics up so fast.

It's funny to see everyone rushing to post the latest/greatest clues/news, only to find that someone's got in just a millisecond before.

Before I heard the vocal rendition of our now most favorite song, there are the instrumental parts that sort of go "bomm bomm" and for some reason that made me recall the Laurel and Hardy short "Them Thar Hills' where out camping the boys are drinking water from a well that (unbeknownst to the boys) moonshiners have dumped their "corn liquor" in.

As they keep drinking the "delicious mountain water" Hardy is moved to "lah tee dah" the tune from a song, and at the end of every phrase, Laurel would add "bomm bomm" with Hardy looking at the camera and finally taking a skillet to Stan's head. Laughing

Just wanted to triple confirm what I learned.

Astronaut name on coupon: SGT. Starborn
Astronaut name on letter: Sergeant Starborn
Astronaut name I had to enter on RP.com: SGT. STARBORN

In conclusion, you have to enter the name you wrote on the coupon in ALL CAPS in order to get the form to work.

Thanks for this info. I finally got through. I've been trying to register for days. Turns out I never tried it with the period after Col. (even though the letter spelled out "Colonel"). All uppercase was not necessary, though.

Don't you think we tried normal letters?

Dropping the ":" doesn't do anything.
No matter how I type my astronaut name, nothing works.

EDIT : Looks like there are eight of us who cannot get in ...
Maybe, we are the "Super 8"?

I think he meant when you were coming up with the name to begin with.

I don't have any fancy punctuation in my name and yet I still can't get it to work! At first I thought it may have been an international postcode issue, but now I'm not so sure, seeing as so many others are having the same problem. I emailed them the day the site opened, but I'm still waiting for a response. Anyway, just thought I'd join in the frustration!

I think [she] meant when you were coming up with the name to begin with.

Yeah, that's what I meant.

How were we to know this?

After all, they did send a letter with our Astronaut name printed on it.

Like those that got "Your Astronaut Name Has Already Been Chosen, Try Again" ... If our names wouldn't work when the site opened, they should have let us know beforehand, also.
