I don't think this is 42E, although this viral promotion is running a lot more like a conventional one compared to that for Cloverfield. I think JJ prefers to keep his stuff in house, and they have just learned from what's been done with some other promotions. We know someone involved with the Cloverfield promotion checked in over here, and has probably looked here to compare to how other such ventures are done.

I notice that the ambient space sounds MP3 file is 'in the open' but that the other sound effects are not cached as stand alone files in the browser cache. It seems like they are happy for us to have, or want us to have the RP theme music and ambient, but not so much the other sounds.

Speaking of sounds, I flipped all the switches and pushed buttons but didn't find any which correlated to the STIES notes yet. Wasn't really expecting to find such a link this early, but worth a try. I can certainly see them sneaking in a clue that way, though.

One of the voice messages in the loop is "You are cleared to launch probe. Data dropout minimal."

So what does the Bravo Tango Delta (BTD) stand for I wonder?
"We have....static... at Bravo Tango Delta. Please confirm visual contact"

I also hear something along the lines of:
"Alpha static 3 proceed with your mission"
"Alpha dog"

I'm sure the other one starts with Coop:
"Coop, you are clear to launch probe. Data drop out minimal."

Does any of it together make any sense??

"Groom Lake One, Wright-Patt [SITREP?] ETA. Over."
"Wright-Patt, Groom Lake One actual. Cargo intact, ETA on schedule."
"Copy Groom Lake One, expect your..."
"OH MY GOD."

You are go!

Has anyone noticed that if you press the blinking lights you can actually get them to stay solid green. Maybe everything has to be lit up green and the square pad has to have a sequence? Just throwing it out there.

It's about three or four different messages mashed together into an incomprehensible mess. The main/loudest message as far as I can tell says. "..../...-/-./.-.[pause].--/-..../...." which translates to H V N R W 6 H. Does that mean anything to anyone? Sounds like gibberish to me.

Also, if anyone has the tech to separate the left and right tracks, it would make translating the different messages a lot easer.

This works well for seperating left/right:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

ETA: Also agree with the morse except for the last letter, which I think is an "S"
Right Channel: HVNR (long pause) W6S
Left Channel: (too much sound) (long pause) OD

I think it's a repeating message.

From the start I get -.../.../-.-. PAUSE -.-/-... fade

Putting this together its:

-.- K
-... S
... B
-.-. C

Checked it here http://morsecode.scphillips.com/jtranslator.html - sounds right

Whether it makes sense is another question, all I can find right now is:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KBSC-LP

Any other thoughts??

Multi...;

Did you invert the letters when transcribing, or are you using the letters like an anagram?

There is a mission "for members only" but there is no place to login?

Also noting there is a new "star banner" on the registration page "Click here to blast off"

I tried going through the registration process again, but I think I'm prevented because I have already registered...
