That'd be an amazing feat, since the building was demolished 10 years ago.

Yeah, I think he meant the Wonders of Life building.

If this is successful (and if it actually happens), I'm almost certain that more Tron attractions will be appearing in the Tomorrowlands or in Epcot.

I saw Tony Baxter quietly lurking around comic Con and the Flynn's Arcade walk-through with great interest.

Yeah, the Wonders of Life pavillion. It's been a while, thankfully I'll get to go back in Nov.

^ Oh, please no.

That building is so awful and cavernous it's impossible to have any sense of place in there. It's a nasty dome! It would be almost impossible to convert it to have any sense of the Tron world.

I'd be more than happy to see that atrocity demolished and replaced with a shiny, new Tron pavilion. Though I'm normally against characters/movies in Epcot, this one's a real exception, as it perfectly fits with the Future World theme.

In the final iteration mentioned here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delta_Dreamflight - Dreamflight - the room was 3-D projected with 'Computer generated imagery. It was the 25 seconds of Flynn being digitized and pulled onto the grid from the original film. They didn't treat it at all.

That's exactly what I was speaking of, just couldn't remember for sure if that was the ride I'd seen it in. My nephew liked that ride when he was fairly young, and when I took him around the parks wherever he wanted to go he took 4-5 consecutive rides through. (I'd seen the parks enough, and on that visit we'd covered everything we wanted, so I told him I'd treat him to his whims for a day.)

As for 42E running this game...

Let's just say there's some pretty damning proof if it became critical to know. Just know that its good work, and they are known for such good work.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: Disney should rebrand DisneyQuest as Flynn's Arcade, and open one or two more. If they do an End of Line Club in California, they should also do one in Downtown Disney in Florida. After all, they killed the Adventurer's Club.

Well, we're still lobbying to get the AC back. Kungaloosh!

Meanwhile, the Starcade in DL Tomorrowland would be a good home for Flynn's Arcade — two stories even which would make the 'office level' a great view below the iconic sign.

Its a shame about the AC, loved that place. Hoping someone over there will come to their senses and get it reopened.

As for Flynn's - its supposed to be linked to their nighttime neon area in the Hollywood section of DCA. The old Millionaire building supposedly.

I'm hoping that Flynn's gets opened in the old Virgin Records space at Downtown Disney. Plenty of space in there, even with the remote controlled car place inside. One sad note, over time WDW has been selling off their old pinball and arcade games so restocking it won't be as easy as it would've been a few years ago.

It's cool to see everyone so hopefull and with so many ideas but...
The first movie wasn't that successful and the next one isn't out yet. When has a movie based attraction been developed that wasn't based on a succesful franchise (other than the Disney classics, of course)? The best that we can hope for, at least for now, is an overlay (WDW Monorails) or the redressing of an existing property (DCA's Glow Fest & Studio 17). These are temporary to promote the movie. If we see the full trillogy and it's crazy successful, THEN we MIGHT see an actual attraction in one of the parks. Like I've said before though, even with success, I wouldn't be surprised if we end up seeing some kind of show (Tron themed, in the dark, martial arts/dance/stunt). Being somewhat biased, I'm hoping for somewhere in DLR but won't be holding my breath.

While I believe everything above is fact, I'm really just trying to participate in the discussion. This is one of the best parts of being a fan. Speculating on what could or should be done when you know that Disney is capable of just about anything. Very Happy

Having been on Buzz Lightyear just a few weeks ago, I can say that the TRON video is still there in the exact same place. It is the opening to the movie of being sucked into the computer on the way to the MPC and then the video restarts its loop. I doubt anything major like a ride will happen for Tron. Disney has a history of only doing something if it is sponsored by an outside company. They build with other peoples money and keep it long after that sponsor is thrown out. The Wonders of Life was built by Metlife. It has been used for conventions and events ever since with very little changed inside.

As far as the Adventurers club. I am sorry to say I know for a fact that the place was gutted this time last year. I worked there the last summer just before and through the end of P.I. I loved all of the hidden doors and passage ways for the employees in that place as well as the theme. BTW some of the actors from AC are now at Idol in the studios.

Kinda OT, but I am REALLY curious, this tron video, where is it located in the ride? The only projection I can think of is in the speed tunnel and the speed tunnel's video is that of Zurg's ship flying around.

This video is after Zurg. It is actually at the very end of the ride where your car gets locked forward facing the half shell screen that you pass through the bottom and then exit the ride.

As far as being OT. Well I am just following the flow of the conversation in this thread instead of starting a new thread. Everyone has a pet peeve but all are different. If you don't like the topic of a thread or the contents of a thread, instead of being a DINK and complaining about it. Just be like everyone else and SKIP THROUGH IT! Don't degrade others because that have something to say. That is my pet peeve, others trying to remover others freedom of speech.
