"let me in" new trailer, possible arg ? hi everyone,
i'm a bit wary about posting this, as it could be nothing, so here goes.. i have searched the any mention of it.. but couldnt find anything.
theres a new trailer for the film "let me in" it a remake of the swedish film "let the right one in".
Anyway it caught my eye cos theres looks to be a morse code message at the end, and it is also directed by the the director of cloverfield, which as you can imagine caught my eye..
have a look, see what you all think...

"From the director of cloverfield"
Since they did a huge arg/viral campaign, it's completely possible that this movie attempts something similar.

There's a scence in the trailer with text LOS ALAMOS on glass door and oh my , oh my look what we have here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Alamos_National_Laboratory
Do you have already feeling of connection between this and the girl?

If it's ANYTHING like Cloverfield it will just be a lot of vague but interesting connections that aren't really a game but are really great at creating buzz. It's not like they can do anything to hide what happens in the movie since it's a remake of "Let the Right One In" and that only came out like... a year ago? I don't know if they can add onto the back story or lore since I'm not even sure it's his intellectual property.
I loved what happened for Cloverfield and if it's anything similar it should be something good to waste time on.

i hope not because that'd be straying far from the book. it says its a hospital, on the door and i know what scene from the book that i too.
i adored the book so i hope this is an arg and i hope the movie does the book justice.

The Morse code is pretty blatant (too blatant for ARGs, I'm assuming) and is probably only there to make people who've seen "Let The Right One In" happy. I don't think it's ARG-related at all.
Then again, I might just be upset that they're remaking the movie so soon and I don't want them to do anything cool. The original was so good, I think they're only remaking it because they'll make a ton of money from the Twilight crowd.

I agree with Odiec. Morse code is used in the movie, I think it's just a suggestion to that by having it in the trailer. Help Me is pretty vague to lead to an ARG, but who knows, maybe it's to give us a heads up that something is coming. You never know.

Did some Research So I did some looking around... It looks like the guy who got the web domain helpme.net got it in 2003 and updated it on June 30 2010, just a few days ago. As that doesn't really help our cause it is interesting. We also noticed that the helpme.net website is just "help me" in morse code again...and it looks identical to the one at the end of the trailer. I don't know if this is the real deal either due to the fact that the guy who opened up this site (helpme.net) is into building a search engine. IE getting people interested in his stuff is key to his success. I think until there is somthing else attached to helpme.net we can deftly state that this is the end of a short trail.

Saw this and had to take a peek, looks interesting. One thing that made me think that there maybe an ARG related, besides the Cloverfield connection, is the fact it's Hammer Films.
In 2008 when Hammer Films was rebooting itself, they had a very involved ARG on Myspace that actually had the film pre-released as episodes online. It was actually kinda cool.
Also read about the information about the book and saw that the main character was a bit of mystery buff and investigator in his own right, so an ARG would fall in lines with that.
Just my input.
