What Happened to Sarah
Transmedia/ARGish Project

via a tweet from harlequino, www.whathappenedtosarah.com

Short, very well done video that peppers a number of clues to off-website assets.

Business card with the website GoldmanAndDawn.com (phone number 603-555-2377 probably doesn't work b/c it's a 555 number) lets us know that "Sarah" is Sarah DiMichaela (@sdimichaela), a Thelema College grad whose brother Vincent is now the dean of the school. There's a lot of interesting stuff out there on Thelema College and the Temple of Thelema [what appears to be a real organization somehow related to Aleister Crowley, as the website was registered in the '90s.]

The video itself was posted to Vimeo 17 hours ago, which creates a bit of a disconnect with Sarah's tweets (her last tweet was 13 hours ago).

Still, I've gotta say WOW at what's out there so far.

It feels like http://thelemacollege.com/ is the in-game site....

vpisteve: yeah, that's definitely it. Apparently my ARG skills have atrophied, and I assumed the College of Thelema and Thelema College were the same thing.

Just wanted to note that in the source code of http://www.whathappenedtosarah.com/ it says, "What time was it?"

Clock said 4:37 (presumably AM, unless whatever caused the weird bubble thing is also messing with the sun).

While that could be the time, yesterday was Daylight Savings and it's possible Sarah forgot to turn the clock ahead, making 5:37am a distinct possibility. Based on the timing of Sarah's last tweet, the event happened today on the Ides of March.

She also tweeted about waking up at 4:37, but that was on Friday:

I'd say 4.37, definitely.

Perhaps the day she disappeared wasn't the first day the blue orb thing appeared... just the first day she went and looked for it.

The video implies she had a headache the night she disappeared too - she takes pills.

Nice video.

And Thelema College is not your typical college to say the least...

http://thelemacollege.com/about.html

Quote:
Thelema College is the premiere institution for the expansion of mind and human essence. Our renowned faculty and groundbreaking research into the complex and hidden mysteries of existence have been pivotal in transforming today's most illuminated and controversial thinkers

And the home page has a link at the bottom to...

http://www.hiddensecretbook.com/

...which does not appear to be a real book, either.

And the site's Privacy Policy link doesn't work. Razz

If you pay attention to the name card in the video, then leads us to Goldman & Dawn Accounting Associates website:

http://www.goldmananddawn.com

This company also has tel number:
603-555-2377

And interesting things is, Sarah is a team member of them.

First thing that caught my eye there is how they spell "magick".

Second thing that caught my attention is the last item in their "About" page is Sigilization:

Quote:
Sigilization

In modern uses, the concept was mostly popularized by Austin Osman Spare, who published a method by which the words of a statement of intent are reduced into an abstract design; the sigil is then charged with the will of the creator. Spare's technique, now known as sigilization, has become a core element of chaos magic. The inherently individualistic nature of chaos magic leads most chaos magicians to prepare and cast (or "charge") sigils in unique ways, as the process of sigilization has never been rigorously defined. The magician is expected to "fill in the blank spots" by himself or herself. Sigils are used for spells as well as for the creation of thoughtforms.

WHOIS for goldmananddawn.com lists a Paul Goldman and places them in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Robert Maxwell of hiddensecretbook.com is listed in Albany, New York.

Thelema College is in Albequerque, New Mexico.

All three have 555 phone numbers.

For that matter, they're all on the same IP, which is hosted at Media Temple.
