[PUZZLE?] Beth & AI Man's "World Tour"

I didn't see a discussion specifically on if there's any significance to the locations they visited. There were some speculations here and there, but I thought it would be a good idea to have it in one place.

From ParityBit:
Code:

48º55 N 2º24   E - Aubervilliers, Just outside Paris.
46º31 N 30º42  E - Odessa, Ukraine.
29º52 N 31º20  E - near Cairo, Egypt.
59º56 N 10º44  E - outside Oslo, Norway.
31º47 N 35º13  E - Jerusalem, Israel.
44º25 N 26º6   E - Bucuresti (Bucharest), Romania.
21º   N 57º    E - Oman.
18º29 N 69º54  W - Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
44º48 N 20º28  E - Beograd (Belgrade), Serbia.
43º7  N 131º55 E - Vladivostok, Russia.

It should be noted that they also started and ended in Washington state...

Anyway, is there a pattern? Has anyone compared these locations to MetaCortex locations from their homepage?

Here's a quick graph I made of the latitude and longitude. It's not particularly "scientific" Razz , and it should be noted that point #8's longitude is West, not East like all the rest, so the graph is somewhat innacurate at that point.

It may be nothing more than an interesting sidenote, but every time the latitude increases, the longitude decreases, and vice versa, and in the "middle" transports there, they almost mirror each other (#s 3-7).

There's also the translocating map at the netninja site (along with all the IM Messages she received): http://metacortex.netninja.com/little-boxes/aim-11-15/

While it's probably one heck of a long shot, what about comparing it to the Congrats pic? Or is that one done and solved?

Has anyone plotted this on an actual world map? If so post the jpg of that, I'd like to see what it looks like. I can do it. But I can't really find a way to post it here.

Location: A maze of winding passages, all alike

possible location for oman translocation.

Al ghubar oilfield

20. 88333 N 56.83333 E

It was big enough to come up on encarta, so it might be the site
oilfields can be pretty big, so maybe the AI man just gave rough coordinates.

The travel-around-the-world map (http://metacortex.netninja.com/little-boxes/aim-11-15/translocation_map.jpg) looks a lot like the 'zero hour' launch map for 'Matrix Revolutions' and the Metacortechs map w/ office locations.

Well, they probably all look similar because they all list some major world capitals; of course, Beth didn't go to all the world capitals listed on the other two maps, but she did go to some, so that's probably where the similarity lies. Maybe.
