 Neville Page
The CGI creature Designer

Got this from MovieViral:

MovieViral wrote:
Neville Page has become the go-to guy in Hollywood for designing pretty much anything that needs to be rendered in CGI. His specialty has been in creature design (i.e. Cloverfield, Star Trek, Avatar, Piranha 3D), but he is also a concept designer on Tron Legacy and has a star-studded resume. From his list of recent work, you can tell that J.J. Abrams is a fan, so it's no surprise that Page is back to design…something for Super 8. Watch him talk to Wired Magazine about Super 8 and his other work in the video below.

The rest is on MovieViral. Any Thoughts.

At least Page confirms he is designing some 'creature' that will burst out of that train car — or some such event in the actual film.

Better, that J.J. seems to have a good idea what it is or does, but lets Page have some free rein over how it looks and perhaps behaves (as with CLOVERFIELD and STAR TREK references for comparison).

Perhaps best of all, Page is concerned and focused on making whatever breaks out of that train car look like something that is beating it apart from the inside (physically and/or psychokinetically). He expressed concern that the emerging 'thing' not be a disappointment.

This would seem to bolster and back up the accuracy of "scariest thing I ever saw" — sweet!
