to make a small correction. We aren't "making very little" we are actually taking a sizable hit and are hoping to break even.

Damage Policy and such
International Shipping

On top of taking a hit on this we also wanted to insure that you guys get the best quality product we can.

If your item comes damaged, we are having a few extra sets made to send to you just in case this happens.

If you live in a foreign country (as in any country other than the U.S.)we will ship to you. I shipped some items to australia in a box the same size that we will be sending these and it only cost $27.

So wherever you live we will ship to you but you must pay shipping fees.

At this point we have 9 sets left, if anyone is wanting more than one set we can do two if you want. We want to make sure that we can possibly do a second run, otherwise I don't want these sets sitting around, I would like them in the hands of tron fans.

Well fortune finds me at the end of this week, so I'm going to say to one of the last sets.

Pickup on orders
within the socal area

Thank you Mr. Tommy for your order and your location brought up a good point.

I spoke to Steve and if you are wanting to pick up your order as opposed to paying delivery charges you may do so.

Steve also volunteered to deliver certain orders so long as you live within a respectable distance. I would ask him for details on that.

But as Steve's screen name indicates he lives in Socal and you MAY pickup your order if you wish. Brownie

I have no idea why I put the brownie in there or what it means, but brownies are FREAKING DELICIOUS.

Maybe that will be Steves delivery fee - Delicious Brownies.

I live in Texas and if you wish to ship me brownies I will not argue, but they must be sent in a time sensitive manner as brownies do spoil.

Thanks to all those who have sent payments, all those who have contacted us.

We are just waiting for the rest of the payments and deposits and hopefully these will be done soon.

8 spots are left so if you want one act quickly.

P.S. brownies are not necessary, but welcomed.

After two months of not being paid (don't ask) I was overjoyed that I finally got money in time ot pay for my set in full. Yea baby! Seriously, I was beginning to get terrified when I saw that payments were beginning to be sent, and I still hadn't been paid. ::whimper:: I didn't want to risk not getting a set.

>.>

<.<

Nobody tell my fiance I'm paying this much, by the way. She'll castrate me.

Problems with Shapeways
not as affordable as we all thought.

I model in Maya and Maya does not allow to export in the appropriate file extension to upload to shapeways. BUT...I found a script that now allows me to but...

So due to concerns about people not being able to afford the full set at $100, I went to http://www.shapeways.com and uploaded all 3 models.

The Neutral "Geometric Answer" came out to over $40. The Yes over $30, and the no over $30.

My main concern is I sized these to 1.5 inches and that is the price that it gave me. This website goes off of volume as would any place that allows 3d printing.

So at this price, these would basically be slightly smaller than a golf ball.

I started all of these off at 2.5 inches and the neutral containing the most volume came out to $100 by itself.

Me and Steve are making a few extra sets just for the guys that order these in case any get destroyed in the shipping process, we will have extras to send out.

So in the end we might have some extra sets to break up, but not many.

If you guys still want me to submit them so you can buy just one, they will come out in white and you can spray paint them yourselves.

But all in all Steve and I have set them at this price and they are 5 inches squared which at this point is an incredible deal.

If you do not believe me I will send you some generic models that you can submit yourselves and see the prices that shapeways gives me. I did put a slight markup, but nothing crazy.

I obviously cannot speak for pms you may get. But I don't think you need to keep sounding so apologetic. All the messages I am reading seem to indicate that we are all pretty jazzed by this, and I at least am very grateful to you for going through all the effort that I know this required.

TBH, these won't just represent TRON for me, but the ARG, the amazing people I've met, the fun times we've all had, and just the sheer awesomeness of the UF community. I'm very grateful to you guys for all of your hard work, and the fact that you were able to get such good prices (and I know that those are damn good prices) for the models. Thank you.

I don't feel bad I guess, but it's just that yeah I know times are tough. If someone else had been doing this I would not have been able to afford $100. So far I almost have a complete collection of the Flynn Lives swag, or at least the stuff I really wanted. Minus the SDCC disc, which now I don't care about considering I can get the bigger one for 7.99. But I wouldn't have been able to have all that if it had not been for this forum.

So I definitely wanted to give back. The main reason Steve and I did this was because as stated before, we were sick of being one of 100's who were desperate to get the bits. We figured that if we did do this, that yeah, they need to be bigger, because for the hype that they created these bits were just too damn small to get worked up about.

I wish I had the gumption to do multiple Tron replicas, that is the gumption to just do things without the fear of getting sued.

I wanted these to be affordable and so far the response has been amazing from you guys because this has definitely been a fun project.

Hopefully we sell out and can do a second run, if not i

Geometric Answers

I hadn't been on for a while and just started catching up on posts hoping for some new ARG action.

These look great! I'll take a set. Thanks for putting in the time for this.

Minor Payment Issue

To all those who would like to purchase or reserve a set of these geometric shapes, I have requested that you send funds via PayPal to Steve_HuszarSPLATKinderMorgan.com through the "Personal" tab to avoid fees. Many of you have not done this.

For those of you who have elected to use the "Purchase" tab to send money, I have a small issue. I do not discourage using the "Payment" tab, because this allows PayPal to protect you if I should try to scam you. Lets face it most of you don't know me personally.

This however incurrs a fee of $1.75 for every $50 you send. Due to the number of bits and the $0 we are making from this project, I need you the sender to pay these fees.

For those of you who have sent thought this method and not paid the fees, I will add these fees to your shipping costs. I appologize, but I cannot afford to pay $3.50 x 20 or 30. It would end up costing me $70-$100.

Waiting for deposits
help us help you.

Hey guys we have been trying our hardest to get these out fast but about 8 people still haven't left their deposits.

We are already taking a loss on these as it is but as of now the rest of us (all that have already left deposits) are practically paying for these for other people and we are still coming up a little short.

For those that want a set or those that haven't left a deposit yet help out and we can maybe do some other projects in the future.
