I don't think these have any ARG relevance, but are a couple of set pieces I found interesting. The first is a book rack - zoom in to check them out. I listed a few of the titles below the picture. Below that is another picture of a box that is in one of the store fronts.

Some of the books:

CLOSE ENCOUNTERS – Steven Spielberg

MAD ABOUT YOU (With a picture of Mad Magazine's Alfred E.Neuman)

STAR WARS – George Lucas

KEY OUT OF TIME – Andre Norton
(review) Again, Andre Norton, one of the greats among writers of teen -age science fiction has employed his boundless imagination to create a story about two Time Agents who are catapulted back 10,000 years in time, on the deserted planet, Hawaika. The eerie adventures of Ross Murdock among three unique prehistoric races end in a horrifying, but fascinating other world battle. The appearance of the Baldies, hairless creatures who claim power by reading men's minds, constitutes an unusual threat to the agents. Owing to the author's exceptional mastery of detail, and astute control of plot, Key Out of Time stands as a novel which should more than satisfy young science fiction fanciers and fanatics. (Kirkus Reviews)

COCKPIT – Jerzy Kosinski
An ex-superspy who thrives on psychological pressure penetrates the lives of others, leading his momentary partners in a ruthless dance of complex intrigue.
THE TIN MEN – Michael Frayn
The Tin Men employs a futuristic setting to portray a society that is almost completely computerized and automated—thus erasing virtually all human traits.

AGAINST THE FALL OF NIGHT – Arthur C. Clarke
(Product Description) Alvin, the only child for many centuries born in what is believed to be the only city left on Earth, leads a renaissance. Man is reclaiming the Earth, but evil has also returned.

INFERNO – Larry Niven/ Jerry Pournelle
Inferno is based upon the hell described in Dante's Inferno. However, it adds a modern twist to the story. The story is told in the first person by Allen Carpentier, an agnostic science fiction writer who died in a failed attempt to entertain his fans at a Science fiction convention party.

HANS SOLO'S REVENGE – Brian Daley

ERASE MY NAME – Jackson Donahue

CHEERLEADING AND BATON TWIRLING – Weekly Reader Books

The following is in one of the store fronts.

Sheesh you are good at this. You (to me) are our best insider. The books just look like tributes to Steven S. to me, but could still be something related to the movie. Hmmm.....

Question for our insiders

Rocket Mountaineer and bk1;

In the pics of storefronts, specifically the last photo that showed the toy/hobby store, underneath one of the window's of the toy/hobby store and on the store front on the far left are signs. The one on the right looks like "Den of Foxes -- Open for business" and the one on the left looks like "Fox Hole -- Open for business."

If I'm correct in what I see, I'm assuming that those are the real names of the stores--just curious (and I think I already know the answer), but just what type of establishments are these?

Thanks again special agents. Your next mission, should you decide to accept it is this: seek out early evening/morning long range shots from high vantage points--rooftops, helos, UFOs. IF you or your UNF force are detained by team JJ, the moderators will disavow any knowledge of your existence. Good luck, crew.

Anyone notice how the supermarket's main large sign says S & A Foods, and the signs in the window say A&S Foods?

You are right it is the the real biz names...
I believe Den of Foxes is a strip club..

They are not shooting on the street until next week so the businesses are still open. They are also shooting today at a yellow brick home that they were mounting the old style TV antennas on the top of the roof...

LOL!

Well, it will be something interesting to look for when the film is released (unless they fix it before shooting).

I also heard from a local biz owner that there will be a car explosion/rolling car on the streets of these businesses. Don't know if true...
