[OFFTOPIC] It's Not fun...

(only for fun, no flaming please)

... Staring at that girl with her annoying pigtails and that bloody pimple, which keeps staring back. NO EYE DON'T SMEGGING SEE.

... Living in a country that outlaws the use of imperial measurements, forcing carpet manufacturers to sell carpet by the .84 Square Metre.

... Spending ages perfecting your theory and setting it down only for it to be totally ignored by the next "punk kid" poster who's noticed "HTML" in the source for one of the pages.

... Marvelling at the technological advances of the last 100 years as all the neighbours kids scoop out pumpkins to scare off witches.

... Living In a timezone where major updates seem to come just as you're nodding off.

... That so many people don't know if it's been mentioned yet.

... That none of your mates "Get" ARGs.

... That the enthusiasm for copying & pasting after an update is not mirrored in the actual thinking & solving.

... When the forum is quiet and your main entertainment is thinking up new thread ideas 'cos you're the kind of person who works better in groups and there clearly isn't one Sad

(you get the idea) Very Happy

...coming home from work and knowing you'll have to slog through 8000 new posts, or else you won't be able to sleep.

...depending on the notoriously whimsical A train schedule to get home (sorry, that's just for NYC'ers).

...when your radiator comes on 24/7, even though it's not really that cold out, so you sit in your apartment and sweat in the middle of Autumn.

...having to smoke outside the bar...freakin' Bloomberg...

...paying $8 for an imported beer, $11 for a movie ticket, and $2500 for a 2 bedoom apartment.

Ok, this is turning into a NY rant. Oh well, run with it -

...working on Halloween night, and not even being able to wear a costume.

OK, enough. Well, Marl, give me an inch, and I'll...take out a lot of frustrations. Thanks.

...getting up every five seconds to give lil so and so's a load of free candy that YOU bought out of your OWN money for no reason that is aparent to you, other than that its friday the 31st of october, and that makes it ok to be robbed by children

...being sat in front of forums that seem dead, only to go to the toilet, come back, and find that a whole new puzzle has not only been started...but solved in the time it took you to put the toilet seat down...if only a woman wasnt in the house, you wouldnt have had to waste that precious puzzle time

...thinking up whitty and commical things to say, and then realising that these depressing subjects arent actually that funny

...finding out that the only scary thing you will watch tonight, is the candy bowl emptying...yes im really annoyed about the candy!

Smile

...checking the Rabbit Hole archives and the Gumpraider archives and notice that they both haven't been updated for over 10 days....

...living in Holland and having to play at night in order to keep track of recent developments, causing you to doze off at the dayjob...

...losing track anyways because you're a total noob and this game is considered one of the hugest & confusing ones in ARG history by veterans...

Hey, that one really sounds familiar Smile

And also:

...living in Holland, waking up to see 300 new posts about exciting voicemail messages and already being late for work...

... getting to the office at 7am, and starting work at 10 because it takes three hours to re-learn everything after the weekend

... watching your fiancees' face glaze over as you try to share your excitement about these puzzles

... having to wait until wednesday before anyone can even publish a review of Revolutions due to a media gag order

... trying to buy your first home during a still-booming Sydney property market

... only beating Ireland by One Lousy Point in the World Cup on the weekend... Wink

That's ok, Az, everyone beats Ireland by a pint, er...point.

And Team USA is lucky if it only gets beat by one. So there.

...Visiting a toilet at least 8 times a day...

...Waking up every morning to go to work and see the same faces again and again...

...Realizing that after everything in life is in loop...Going to work coming back to home.Drinking, going to toilet.Waking up sleeping.Sun rises sun sets.A new puzzle found in Metacortechs.com a puzzle solved.God damn everything...

...Watching News everynight and realizing still how primitive we are...

...Typing bullshit,pressing Return...

...Subbmiting message checking back for replies...

Execnight, man, if sleepin' and poopin' get you down that much, there's probably a bigger problem going on.

Seriously, brother, you got to unplug. As Ricky Roma says in Glengarry Glen Ross: "You ever take a dump made you feel like you'd just slept for twelve hours?"

Learn to appreciate the finer points of an enormous dump and a twelve hour nap. Suddenly work won't bring you down quite as much.

Now, see, that^ has just GOT to put you in a better mood; well, unless you spill coffee on your keyboard when you suddenly burst out with laughter... still lmao
