I have no idea what you guys are talking about. lol The "Alex was here" is not hyperlinked for me, and the puzzle says what Amandel said. I'm assuming the puzzle originally had clues, and Voltaire was one of the answers.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
From E A Poe: Sonnet—To Science

"true daughter of old Time thou art!
Who alterest all things with thy peering eyes."

Note: it's said to be "a poet's lament over the dangers of scientific development and its negative implications for poetry and creativity."

MensVenatus, your problem is indeed confounding. All I can suggest is refreshing the page for awhile. Dunno

Hmmm... Wikipedia disputes itself.

"Curtius taught Tussaud the art of wax modelling; she showed a lot of talent and started to work for him. In 1778, she created her first wax figure, that of Jean-Jacques Rousseau. She later modelled other famous personages, such as Voltaire and Benjamin Franklin."

Just a thought. A Science Museum major exhibition called 1001 Inventions was first displayed at The UK Houses of Parliament LINKwhich have a line drawn toward them on our "field trip" map

That's a good thought as well (though I thought the line was pointing to Big Ben rather than Houses of Parliament) The Science Museum is a bit further away than everything else.
MensVenatus, those words are unscrambled as well when you put the answers in the right order to form the poem. It would unscramble to

this puzzle is your clue to where we go next. hope you enjoy our trip.

@RandomGuy26: Wiping the friday-nite-fun from my eyes and taking a better look I now agree with you that the map line is drawn toward Big Ben Laughing

Haha, no worries Smile The Houses were actually my first thought just because Big Ben wasn't labeled on the map.

I third the Big Ben line.

Are there any puzzles that were not skillfully solved during my sleeping?
