i think that the game that is running under the tarotbysaranna thread will be a separate game from IWCB2, albeit connected by a character (and possibly some themes). 'the fortune teller' character was referred to at the beginning of IWCB2 and would appear to be the person we need to find to help us find our missing man.

IWCB's PM has suggested as much in brief conversation prior to the relaunch of IWCB2.

my personal preference is to leave the other game to run on its own, whilst keeping an eye on the thread in case of any useful information, or misplaced clues. the thread has already given us an email address for our fortune teller, which i assume would be what we found out from the IWCB2 four clues puzzle (for which we only have clue 1 - answer tarot - so far)

yes i know but i believe the "her" site is connected to the tarot cards, seeing as there is a link w/ the wand, cup, sword, etc

hey mensvenatus,

not sure on what the new quest is yet, maybe we'll hear more tonight? 'leda' suggested she would be attempting the wallet snatch later today and that might lead to more information as well, tho i expect that to be different to what saranna was hinting at.

from the small amount posted to the butterfly blog, and the snippets posted back in istanbul, it seems that leda and the man we assume is lori and sylvie's father may be 'together' but they still have a lot of secrets and might not have been a couple for that long. they are both on the run and/or hiding from something, but that might be different things and for different reasons. i think our first big task is to try to work out who our protagonists are and what's their story - if we are going to earn leda's trust we need to know a lot more about her.

and a thought on her using the name 'leda' - presumably a reference to the greek myth? leda was the mother of helen of troy, by zeus. so maybe something to do with her children (which would echo the theme of absent parents from IWCB1)? and maybe her pursuer is a powerful figure from her past? or perhaps she just has a thing for big birds...

I like the theories. The story I was telling myself is that the plan might be to get the Saranna folk trying to work for Leda, and the IWCB folk to work for David/Lori's Dad, and pitch us against each other somehow. Which is all based on no evidence whatsoever, but is interesting to think about...
