Mmmm, That's some tasty insane Troll Logic.

I was the one who pointed out in the Tutorial the flaws in his claim that he used an iron ax to hurt Slender Man. I was expecting him to just ignore it, not actually try to think of a way around it, so when I saw the crazy logic he was using as a response, I had to laugh.

Really? I'd be interested in seeing M totally flip out. It might be fun people could start placing bets.

If this is in-game, good things might happen. If not... poor guy, sounds pretty harsh what he's been through.

Yeah, I made fun of him, but I didn't say he should die or anything. Maybe he's being overly dramatic. At least, I hope he is. But then, some people one the internet get their kids from ruining other people's day, and I hope that wasn't any of us.

There are some issues with trying to do work and read forums at the same time. Also "one the internet?" It's weird how spelling (and grammar) errors happen when I'm not paying attention.

Ouch. Poor kid.

For what it's worth, this blog wasn't badly written. The kid knows how to tell a story, I will give him that.

The problem with this one- and the guy who posted a comment on this latest post says it a lot better than I can- he was trying to kill Slender Man and be a hero. While's it's idealistic, the idea of chopping off his arm and eating it to gain super powers...it just doesn't have that ring to it, you know?

The problem with anyone trying to KILL Slender Man is, what comes next if they do? The whole mythos falls apart. If he can die, why fear him? But then again, I guess that was the point.

And people calling him scum of the earth is just uncalled for. It's a story. I've read far worse stories than this, and poorly written ones at that. This story wasn't poorly written, it just tried to break the mythos and unfortunately didn't succeed. The kid should not be crucified for trying to tell a tale.

Again, I say that the kid can definitely write, and if he reads this, don't let people tell you you're a bad writer, kid, because that's not the case. The story was just a dud. It happens, I've had a ton of duds. You pick yourself up, and you come up with something even better.

Eh, I'd have to disagree about the quality of his writing. It's not terrible, but I wouldn't be able to call it good. There were pacing problems, the emotions weren't expressed well, and the way he got the slenderpowers seemed shoehorned in (I doubt anyone's reaction to cutting off Slender Man's arm would be to eat it). He was improving over time, and the last few posts had fixed some of the earlier posts' issues, but he ended it before we could see where that improvement would be going.
Even so, I agree that all the complaints I saw against the blog were about how he was treating canon, not how he was writing. He was trying to put action and heroics in a cosmic horror story, which doesn't mesh well. Had he not made that mistake, it's likely his blog would have worked out; take out the sue characterization and Slendy's character derailment, and we'd be talking about an interesting new ARG here instead of joking about some mary sue fic.

Well, okay, it's no Stephen King writing, but it's definitely not Stephanie Meyer writing either. I'm just saying, I've seen a LOT of stories written way worse than this, both plotwise and spelling/grammer wise. You can tell the kid was trying, or I can, at least.

This is just a literary nitpick, but never would I hold up Stephen King as writing to aspire by. The man simply cannot write good third-acts.

I guess you can say that the writing was decent, but he went about it too quickly. He was too enthusiastic. If it's actually an in game pull, then my hat is off to him, because it's a dang good one...

It's kind of rough that the kid took it so personally, but I don't think I'll be shedding a tear over the loss of the blog. It irks me big time to see someone try and screw up a good communal story. I mean, think about it, there are a ton of people writing as, and for, Slenderman, and they do it right. They all keep the same general outlines, maybe adding something here and there, but it all works really well and meshes really well and there's never really been much conflict between stories. Once someone comes in and pretty much intentionally wrecks it, I don't see how he could possibly expect people to like him for it.
