I'm honestly a bit confused as to why they'd do a full about-face and restart their game.

Okay, so I noticed something odd today. I was looking around the "About" page because of the new Tweet, looking for changes, and noticed that in the "Team" section, Matt's gone. Everyone else is there with a short bio, but in place of Matt there's just that little ~o~ symbol.

They aren't done yet Very Happy

It's definitely off-putting. I can see their story before going weird ways, but the dialogue from the npc's now seems almost canned. They say they're "coming clean" and being more normal, but it doesn't seem normal to me, at all.

Same. It's kind of like that thing with CGI, the Uncanny Valley? They're almost human, but something's missing.

I realize I've been openly very critical of this thing and still am, but I wondered if I'm the last person who noticed the italicized hidden messages in several of the "reboot" postings, namely "lying not frank run" in the first one by "Frank," as well as "hiding save us lethegion" in another.

I don't see any of the messages you mentioned, but there is one in "For Science" that reads "nice try fool"

I've noticed a few, actually. I've been a bit AWOL, but I comment on their blog as I can. Of course, the one posted by Matt reads HELP ME.

EDIT: Hey, the Matt post has been DRASTICALLY edited, it looks like. At least they caught the capitalization. It looks like they leave it for a few days and then edit it.

I shot a message off to Jackson. We'll see what happens.

Whoa, weird moment: I tried looking for this stuff, only to a message that said "What you are looking for doesn't exist," and it had a search field under it. That was likely just a site hiccup, but it still gave me a really creepy feeling for a second, because I don't see those others, either. I see the one in "For Science" and the one in "Fresh Mental Leverage" which reads "we see all."
