WOAH A TALL GUY IN A SUIT WITH NO FACE

THAT'S OBVIOUSLY SLENDERMAN BECAUSE NOBODY HAS EVER THOUGHT OF A SIMILAR CHARACTER BEFORE

Can we just let this thread die already?

Per Rule 34, it's already happened and been posted on the internet.

You actually looked?

So in response to Graved, I had a dream when I was a kid about me looking out a window and seeing some guy wearing a suit with no face, and him turning around and looking at me. (like entry 1?). I was like 5 years old though when it happened. The dream haunted me for a while, I was scared to sleep.

Urgh, I had a dream about him once, before I started watching Marble Hornets. I think I'd seen a picture of Slendy somewhere and had forgotten about it.
In this dream me and a friend were looking for another one in our old house, our furniture was there but it was covered in dust sheets. We went outside and I bent down to tie my boot laces, stood up to talk to my friend and slendy was standing next to me, I screamed and he disappeared, turned to look at my friend and he was standing next to him. He screamed......we ended up running like the wind down a pitch black field, then I woke up.
It was weird and sounded a lot like MH when I was typing that lol. *le gasp* What if it was a premonition? lol.

Well, if we are talking about vaguely Slender-Man sounding experiences, I've got one from quite a few years back.

I was at a debate camp, and swore I saw something in the trees. Always a person, no face, formal attire. Usually had two other dark, shifting masses near by that would sneak close to my window, and then retreat just as they got out of sight. I saw it for three nights before I finally went out-back where they were and cursed whatever was hiding there out as the the light started to die. Looking back, it was not the wisest decision I ever made Embarassed

I didn't see anything like that ever again, not that night, not ever. But when I started watching Marble Hornets thanks to The Escapist community, I noted how oddly similar the character looked. And when I read Just Another Fool, well...yeah. But, provided ol' Slendy even is real, he can't get ya if you don't think he is, so I'm going to quietly keep convincing myself that it's a dude in a suit in some of the most entertaining fiction I've ever had the pleasure of reading/watching.

Well, if we're telling ghost stories, I got one:

I had really bad sleeping problems when I was a kid. Every shadow seemed like a person, every noise or creep sounded like someone walking. And one time when I was six, and I was going through my usual routine of hiding under the covers and occasionally glancing out for air and to see if anyone was actually there, I could've swore I felt a hand grab at me from the covers.

Out of terror I kept the covers over my head, because I had this belief that if you couldn't see them, they couldn't see you. Morning eventually came, and to this day I never knew if it was my dad coming to check on me or if I had imagined it or not. I never brought it up with my folks, they never said anything about coming in to check on me, and life went on.

I'm twenty-one now, and yet I still remember that night even when I can't remember what I had for breakfast some days. I was one fucking paranoid child.

There. Ghost story told. Slender Man sighting-wise, never seen him. Like I've said elsewhere on this thread, I'm always weary when "Gimme 20 Dollahs" comes on in the bar that I work in, I scan the area to see if anyone in a suit has shown up, but so far I have not. Watching Marble Hornets for the first time, Slender Man seemed familiar to me, but I think it was just because he was always that faceless silent unseen terror that made me paranoid to sleep as a child and finally got an identity attached to him.

So thanks for that, Troy...you fucking asshole Razz

Haha, I always hid under my covers under that belief. So long as I couldn't see them, they couldn't see me.

Oh man...I'm questioning whether it would be d-bagish to link an Ichor Falls story disproving that little theory Twisted Evil

My loving mother managed to disprove it to me at a very young age. I was hiding under my covers dozing off and she decided to sneak in and grab me, making me jump. I didn't know I could cling to ceilings via my fingers and toes until that day.

Nice. Think pretty much that, except instead of Mother, think burglar, and instead of grabbed you, think "ransacked your house for 20 minutes, then shot you when he opened the door you were too afraid to get up and lock."

As you can tell, this is clearly an upbeat happy story for all ages. Disney's working on an adaptation as we speak.

Holy shit. We've not been far off that tbh. The area we live in is rough and there's a lot of break ins, one guy tried to get through our kitchen window whilst we were all awake and met our dogs. They're as soft as anything but they've been trained to jump when you lift your arms. They went running up at this guy who put his arms up to protect himself and so our dogs jumped at him. It made my dad to watch him fall backwards out the window and scrabble away lol.
Dunno what I'd do if someone with a gun ransacked my house though.

You can't link to an image on your own computer... seeing as the rest of us don't happen to be using your computer. Wink
