I'm applying brute force to it, there is only so far many combinations for each binary code.

I'll have to leave all the technical stuff to you guys. It's mostly lost on me, for now. I hope to improve on that later.

It shares several similarities with our current story, though it's not an exact match.

Just finished the story a bit ago. I was going to post a few entries, but the whole thing needs to be read to be properly understood. The relevant bits make little sense without the supporting ones.
A few things though,
The way Zach continues investigating despite warnings otherwise is much like Blake, the main character of Haunter. Almost like he's compelled.
Zach's connection to the artifact is established and strengthened during a power outage, which is something that allows the Haunter to walk free. Light banishes it's physical form.
Blake has numerous dreams and trouble sleeping after coming in contact with the artifact.

It seems like a pretty good fit for our story here, but I need a few more bits of evidence.
--Any manner of unconscious behavior by Zach. (which we have if our cloaked friend is Zach)
--Aversion to light by the presence from the Artifact. (the actual presence, not just it in Zach's head)
Of course, even if we do get those, Robert Blake didn't fair so well. We'll need to figure out what to do.

I'm thinking that Creepy Dark Riding Hood could very possibly be Zach, Cobalt. He's usually pretty good about responding to emails and posting blogs, but in the last few days he hasn't. That leads me to believe that his condition has only deteriorated... and who knows what that could entail?

Anybody else waiting for a response from him or just me?

Major changes on the Diagnostic Report. Proximity has gone from Detected to Critical, Intrusion Detections has changed from Class 2 to 1, and Emission Detection has changed from Detection to Warning.

Greetings everyone! I finally have something to contribute. Well, sort of. It's more of a warning to Seadevil. I had the same idea of brute forcing the password but things get out of hand way too fast. Forcing the binary gives:

Different possibilities are going across (first letter could be c,g,k,or o). Some lines didn't have missing spots so we know that:

All the passwords so far have only been letters, so take out all the symbols, numbers, and the ones we know and you've got:

Which has 2,304 possible combinations. Either there's something else that narrows this down or the spaces aren't meant to be filled in randomly. So basically I've got nothing, but I spent enough time on this that I figured I might as well post what I don't have.
