GN, I still haven't a clue about the Field Report function, or the Chatbot/AI, really. Or the pork poster, or the cheese. >.< I'm kind of banging my head against the wall over here.

Hm. I can't change the status report from --ss either. Might be a clue?

I think the original purpose of the status report thing was to allow players to share information directly through the site-- that way people who, say, for example, weren't on unfiction, would be able to know what was going on. It seems like it has a more IG plotty purpose, now.

Me neither.

I suspect that we were never supposed to be able to change the field in the first place. It could just be that they left it open for us by accident. It just didn't make sense to me that we'd be able to talk to random people there, which is what lead to my confusion when I first found the place and was talking to muse thinking it was the AI.
I might think that it was for posting passwords figured out and the like, if it wasn't for those being put on the Archive page.

Idk, the field was added as a chatbox from the start. The code is written that way. I think that the purpose was both to confuse us and to share info among ourselves. I am also getting the same problem, I guess that now they might have blocked the display of the chat. So they may be getting everything we write in a log, but nothing gets changed in the Field Report. If the whole system is failing, it makes sense that it has started to break aswell. If that is the case, whatever is there might have been added by them, so it might be relevant. So far we had:

so h lp (maybe sos help, as suggested)

---ss (class, bliss, bless, glass, chess, abyss... ??)

EDIT: maybe they changed it manually if we post the right word? I am going to try.

EDIT 2: As soon as I went there, it changed to "helplehehpmemelplehehpmemelplehehpmemelplehehpmem"

As far as I know I can change it. I was the one who just put ss. Now I just changed it. Looks like it changed again for me.

That's strange. I wonder why i'm the only one who can change it.

Also the status for the Artifact status went from "Secure" to "Warning".
The only thing I find weird is that right now according to you guys i'm the only one able to change the field status. Is there some kinda glitch in code that i'm bypassing to be able to change it. Or was it intentionial by the PM that i'm the only one able to change it.

(Anways with me finding out any of my messages come out garbled it's pretty useless.)

Edit: Cute. I can change it, but because the system is failing it comes out garbled. lol

Edit 2: It now just says "Data file read error" for me.

Hey, the Field page is messing up now too. Getting white flashes and static.
Also, the part that displays the text is gone.
As a laugh I put in, "Initiate Failsafe Protocol". It disappeared immediately after that. It could be that I put it in as they were fiddling with it.

Data file read error - was me, my bad. I was trying to figure out if the code was stopping us from entering stuff. Manually ran the writestatus.php file, caused the glitch.

Looking pretty much dead now though, looks like sparks coming off the artifact now!

I think the field message is: Containment Failing.

I think the 'Narles' one may have been an attempt at Nyarlathotep who is a lovecraftian character....

the Field Report thing seems to mess up always one or two letters. Could this be important? Like now it says "sestitel", instead of (I guess) "sentinel", so n>s and n>t. Could this be important, or just random?

I am puzzled as to where we need to go now...
