Opening day is today, and it's also our anniversary, and we go to Disneyland every year. So I will be there tonight for opening day. If anyone else is going, PM me and maybe we'll meet up or something?

I'll try and take some pictures of the event/Flynn's Arcade for the rest of the UF'rs and post them tomorrow.

Another soul here interested in buying some off those lucky enough to go to the park.
Of course I would pay shipping on top of that Smile

Would love to see photos from the event too!

I'd also be interested in getting one to add to my others. If anyone out there is going to grab some spares, i'd be prepared to pay. Living in the UK definitely sucks when it comes to getting stuff like this!

I'm gonna hop on the "pay you for tokens" train. I'll pay twice the amount the're worth, for as many extra coins you have. PLEASE let me know if you have some. I missed out on all the flynn lives shwag, and I really want something, even if I have to pay for it.

If there is enough to go around, I'd love to grab a few as well.
Thanks in advance.

So is there any limit on the number of tokens you can purchase at this thing? If they're only a quarter and there's no limit, I would think that all of us who aren't lucky enough to be able to attend would be able to get the hook up from some kind folks. I wouldn't mind going double or triple price on 5-10 of them myself.

Should we make a thread for this? It seems like there is enough people who are interested to warrant a central place for info.

Why make a new thread? Why can't we use this one....
That being said, I don't expect to be able to make it to ElecTRONica Sad due to the cost of tickets. So, I would love for someone to be able to get us extra tokens for the forum... I would hope to be able to get at least 3 myself...

I went to ElecTRONica last night, got a couple tokens to take home. They are markedly smaller than the Flynn Lives ones, by about 1/8" of an inch diameter (they are barely bigger than a quarter, while the ARG ones are significantly larger). Definitely gold in color, though since they get cycled through the cabinets and token-dispensors, even first-day coins weren't super bright and shiny.

If you go, definite recommendations are the Laserman show, and the "sneak peek" of Tron Footage in the MuppetVision theater (there are no muppets involved). Not only do you get the full Comic-Con footage reel, in 3D, but you get the added Disney theater effects (a Recognizer flies overhead, and the house lights glow orange for a moment; lightning strikes, and white lights flash). The "End Of Line Club" is basically just a bar where you can get alcohol, and Flynn's Arcade is much like the San Diego experience, with (ironically, for Disney) LESS ambiance. While there is definitely a door behind the Tron machine, it didn't open the whole time I was there (and someone was playing that machine). The rest is a loud, Daft Punk-heavy dance party.

If you go, take FLASH photography... the cast members' costumes are designed to reflect the photo light VERY effectively.

Did you maybe save some of those coins? Very Happy

I actually looked in to the Flynn Lives coins and found that they are just slightly smaller than a U.S. half-dollar coin. This is importamt if you are looking for a display case.

P.S. If you plan on using pvc sleeve for display or keeping them in the coin purse they came in that is also PVC, know that the gases will be trapped and your coins will see corrosion/discoloring in about a year.
