 		The Storyline for Super 8 (Theory)
POSSIBLE SPOILERS, DONT LOOK IF YOU DONT WANNA KNOW
So this is my theory on the plot
There are a group of 8 kids, not sure how far back, but they stumble upon a train crash that came from the US Military. They find what could be an Alien (Which could have been found when Rocket Poppeteers took off on one of their expiditions). The Kids decide to film this encounter and call the film 'the scariest thing i ever saw' in red marker over a 8mm film.

Years later the kids have their own kids, but one of the fathers mysteriously dissapears, and nobody knows where. The son now grown up, finds his fathers film but it was broken up, He decides to sell some artifacts including the film, when he is contacted by someone claiming to know the whereabouts of his father. But he had to prove that he was his son, by showing him the a still image of the film, which explains the emails

Pretty sure im waaaaay far off, but some might be true lol

As far as your theory, I think the only thing about it that we can infer from the trailer is that there is a "train crash that came from the US Military." Confused

You mention that possibly an Alien "could have been found when Rocket Poppeteers took off on one of their expiditions."

All we know about RP right now is that they market popsicles, appealing to younger ones. As far as RP being some code or front for gov't authorized space exploration is just conjecture. Laughing

Keep on thinking about it, though--hopefully soon we'll have more answers to our deepest questions, such as "why the coelacanth?" Wink Wink
