 		WANT: daycare center security tapes. Surveillance tapes from cameras the neighborhood watch sets up to stop hooliganism at a local playground. A "Have you seen this man?" investigation from someone who is believably not genre savvy or interested in manufactured urban legends.

Also, visuals. That's a personal call, though--the blogs just don't do it for me. If you're going to tell me a story, I'm game, but "HE GOT JUBBO! I AM TERRIFIED! NOW FOR WORDSALAD!" is all kinds of meh.

DON'T: word salad and cryptography. Why do no masked crazies ever take up composing crosswords to their victims?

Let's see, there's Make it Count, Road to the Heavens, the Master Comes, Vivere disce, Exilis Veritas, 3 DiamondMistresss, The Stopping Lights, Para Not-So-Normal, The London Librarian....

And that's only listing the ones which are on TVTropes. There's also Time to Talk, the eleventh hour, A Study in Purple, Bright Asylum, Everything I See, Hard Times Like These, Peering in From the Outside, Breeze in Monochrome NIGHT, H(a)unting, A Wand and A Prayer, Authoress Haven, Ichthyological, In My Head, etc.

So before anyone brings this up again (and you aren't the first to complain about the lack of female leads), realize that there are already a very large number of girls in the Mythos.

Sorry, I should have been more specific - I mean the vlogs. I'm assuming based on the above post that these are all blogs?

And why the rather condescending response? I'm sorry for not knowing wtf tvtropes is and thinking that here and something awful was the only place that has things like this Rolling Eyes

Sorry, it wasn't meant to be condescending. I was unaware that you hadn't heard of tvtropes before, so I was making unfounded assumptions on my part. Here's TVTrope's page on Slender Man, if you want to take a look: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheSlenderManMythos

And you're correct, all the above are blogs (Except for Hard Times Like These, which is a livejournal). There are no vlogs with female leads which I know of; Angels Game has a female main character, but she isn't the lead.

 		I think I'm rapidly becoming sick of the "Ghost Hunters" see a glimpse of something creepy, barely show it, scream and run thing that seems to be so popular. I like the idea that "what is unseen is scariest" but I also think that if the protagonist is seeing it, we should see it too. That's why I liked "Marble Hornets" so much. They didn't rely on screaming and only distortion to know that Slender Man was around. I actually almost shit my pants the first time I saw Slender Man peeking in the window. That was horrifying because you saw it straight up. And then the Masky attack where you got a clear shot of crazy psycho mask and then "CHARGE!".

Also, I'd like some people learning to camera or learning to edit because there are a lot of vids that are 4 minutes of ground between events and there is nothing more boring or confusing. I'd like a setting that is more than "leaves on forest floor" , "grass on the lawn" or "asphalt in parking lot".

* Code, especially binary. What, is Slendy implanting microchips into people's brains?

Do want:

* More variety in stories, and in Slendy himself; less reliance on the interconnected "cannon" that's developed.

* More "fear of the unknown" type stories, with dashes of Cosmic Horror and Eldritch Abomination.

* If you're doing a non-game non-video story, try something other than blogs. Someone's diary, statement to the police, or letter from inside a mental hospital (Lovecraft made good use of these). Or a collection of email conversations and fake newspaper clippings.
