I'd read it if I didn't have to make an account to get past one page. I don't want to make an account just for one thread, haha. Has the info posted there been put elsewhere?

I must admit I don't like Everyman Hybrids ridiculous amount of blogs, other youtube sites etc. There is just to much shit clogging the toilet for me. However their last video with the baseball bat to the groin of Slenderman has sparked my interest again as finally some has pushed the story forward. Finally, someone making this videos went straight at him.

I think a simpler storyline like MH with just a few characters makes the story better instead of sprawling the story out into multiple faucets where the information overload becomes an issue. Keep it simple...2 youtube's and a twitter account is fine.

I agree with the complicatedness being offputting. I love MH for being simple, where it's more like a movie. I don't even use twitter, so I usually stray away from that.

If I were to do something, it would probably end up being just a story, as I am new to this whole ARG thing, I just come here to talk about Slendy, haha.

Edit: I use commas way too much.

I really like EMH. MarbleHornets was good, but the sense of loneliness you got from Jay really got old quick. I think I like stories where you see a group of people isolated, just so there's some sort of a relationship and dynamic being shown.

I found this with a bit of a search. It's...pretty good as a resource, now that Lowtax has decided he needs more funding.

This is an interesting subthread, because the huge cast and multiple access points of EMH is one of my favorite things about it. For me, at least, it creates more of a sense of immersion, and it also allows for multiple perspectives on the same events (although this has been, IMO, a bit underused).

I'd really like to see a story that, for the first couple of months, appears to be two completely unrelated stories that eventually start converging. With cosmic horror and eviscerations and tree limbs through tummies. Smile

I think what we're seeing is that there's no way to please everyone when it comes to Slenders.

I would so love to see intersectin character-storylines. Have development for each person. The above post mentioning unrelated-at-first sources is a must.

Just a thought though, do you guys think TUMBLR or that Blog-site-thats-always-used (i'll look up the name later) is better for...well, Slenderstories?

I think that Tumblr is good if you have alot of things that you want to share (such as music, videos, mass amount of piks, etc.)

Blogger is also good, if you just using text and a picture or two.

The two have their ups and downs. (fortunately, both let you choose to use HTML coding Very Happy)

I've noticed that people have also used Word Press (I've not used it, I've no idea how it is.). There are other blogging sites out there, live Livejournal, Greatestjournal, etc., and the subsets of Facebook, Myspace, etc. but most people don't use them.

A Do Not Want EVAR I would never have thought of: Characterization through leet speak. I tried The Master Comes/Stopping Lights but it made my eyes bleed too much, and not the good kind of eye-bleeding that comes with a Slendy encounter.

I just want to reiterate this. May have just seen The Mist, and I saw Jacob's Ladder long ago. They're truly fantastic as inspiration. I'd also like to add Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem to the list of videogames that should be played.

These tips are wonderful, and I am def taking into account some of them (a good portion I already was had in my head).

I don't think the entire Silent Hill series, mainly 2 and Shattered Memories. In general one should have a VAST wealth of knowledge if they wanna do this. Music, literature, film, all of it.

I would love to see some more originality in the stuff people are putting out. I really liked the impaling and vivisection used in the earlier stuff and would like to see more of it. One person made an interesting comparison to shrikes about this.

Like I've been working on a story/ARG where a man's daughter gets abducted by our slender friend and he goes looking for her. This ends with him institutionalized after finding his daughter impaled on a tree and the influence of sleepless nights looking for clues/digging the Slender hole deeper.

I don't understand the appeal of House of Leaves. I loathed that book.

Really? I'm getting HoL shipped in from Amazon to find out what all the fuss is about. I assume there must be some sort of appeal to it, otherwise it wouldn't have been suggested.

I'll probably see if one of my friends has a copy of HoL, if not, I'll just go check it out from the library or something...
