[OFFTOPIC] MATRIX REVOLUTION SOUNDTRACK STREET DATE RETARDED

Yes, you read well.... THe soundtrack that was suppose to goes live today was retarted for November 11. It brought me some spec about the reason of this.

Well, i think that they do that because of us. They probably waren't thinking that this ARG would be so big so they decide to release the soundtrack the 11 so that we don't ge easy Hint. Also, on MLO metadex, the 11 is the veteran day and it's in blue like at Halloween. So, there will be something important hapening that day. But that's only spec...

That's the most screwed up logic I've ever seen.

It's not pushed back. You can get it today.

I doubt that even if soundtrack were pushed back it would be because of a couple hundred people posting about a relatively-unknown ARG. Besides, rabid Matrix fans would be just as (if not more) eager to get the soundtrack for "hints".

Well, I talked about this here.

Yeah, that's right. All us Matrix fanatics are gonna go out and get the soundtrack and say, "Here that? He're what the voices are singing in the 'Navras' track? Sounds like they're singing 'find your inner dolphin, Beth McConnell.' I know it does."

Please, Marauder. While "Matrix" fans love the franchise, I doubt they're going to look for the genius compositions of Don Davis and Juno Reactor for clues. That is THE stupidest thing I've ever heard.

[EDIT] Granted that's not the whole soundtrack. But it's fine by me.

Hmm...even the whole Neodammerung thing? Nobody would be interested in that I guess... I mean, a song named after an opera where the hero who is supposed to save the world is killed and his friend ends up destroying the whole world? You're right...nothing to be gained from the soundtrack. Rolling Eyes

BTW, not to be mean or anything but I think 50% or more of the posts you make are crap. "Look what I did! I made a list of JPGs! Woohoo!" "Hey I think I'll bring this up again! Do you think the Wachowskis are behind this?" "I can't do a search!" But I didn't say it.

Yes, there will be many levels to the soundtrack, but it's highly unlikely that anything in there will relate to the ARG. I agree with Niobexrev that while we Matrix fans may be rabid (only less so than the hardcore Star Wars fans, perhaps Very Happy ), I don't think we're going to be jumping off the deep end like that.

Of course, I can only speak for myself...

Oh, and "Neodammerung" is also a reference to "Gotterdammerung", which is German for "the Twilight of the Gods".

So Neodammerung means Twilight of Neo. Couldn't be a clue at all. Stupid me. Embarassed

Go here for my Norton Anthology-esque primer on Don Davis's Wagnerian references.

Any other musicians out there that find this sort of thing remotely interesting? Anyybody...? Bueller...?

Okay, Maurader, no offense, but stop being juvenile. I wasn't saying that you weren't right about the Neodammerung-thing. You were. I was just adding that it was also a reference to something else. Operative word there being "also".

Okay?

Also, maybe there are some clues to this ARG in the Revolutions soundtrack. It's possible. But it's also possible that monkeys might climb out of my butt; doesn't mean it's going to happen, though. If anything, the wordplays and such in the soundtrack will be adding a depth of understanding to the story of the movie, not to this ARG.

Of course, assuming that there are clues in the soundtrack bypasses all of the debate and discussion and automatically assumes that this is an official, movie-related ARG... which, given the close proximity to the opening of the movie, I find unlikely.

Neodammurung may well prove to be a spoiler for the movie... but I seriously doubt that we'll find anything in there that will clue us in on Scratch and Caesar. I'm so confident about this, I'm not even gonna bother playing the whole album backwards at 50%.

Most of this has sort of been covered off on in Niobexrevs' thread... buggered if I could be bothered pointing it out... its the other CD related thread. Anyway, whats with all the angst? I'm pretty sure Sunny was right, and the magnetic storm in the stratosphere is just messing with everyones' headspace.

Can we can the name-calling? Is it ok if people want to contribute to this ARG in a positive way by archiving things? C'mon kids...

I was being juvenile towards niobe, not you. If I'm being called juvenile, I'd at least like to make it clear who it's towards. I was taking what you said, making it support my point, and throwing it back at niobe.
