Well, from all the discussions, It can mean 1 of 3 things.

1: From when the tweet came out last night, 23 hours later MH season 2 will start.
2: MH S2 will start November 23rd.
3: There is a significant clue in Entry #23

or the theory on the ox[x in the o] symbol being X in roman numerals, which'd make it a wierd way of writing 27[entry 27, or all the above but with 27 instead]

Anybody else concerned that Masky is seemingly updating the MH twitter?

Granted he's gotten into the YouTube account for Entry ### but now the Twitter, and after a long period of silence from Jay?

OOG: Perhaps Season 2 will be from Masky's POV?

eta: Dav, the original thread is a good one, but is Gupfee still around to update the first post? I feel that at this point, having the information be contained in one or three posts at the beginning will be more essential than adding it to a very long thread... we've already generated so much content from season 1 that I think it would be a miracle if a newbie came in and managed to read it all (or even finish a single of those mammoth 300-page threads!)

Having a fresh 'Official' thread for season two segregates the two from one another and, I think, is less intimidating to newbies who have only just discovered the series.

Well, yes and no--yes, she's still around, but no, she isn't watching this forum anymore. However, it doesn't matter because I can edit her post no problem. I think that because this thread and the "It's Back!" thread are both turning into speculation threads, we could keep the speculation in the "It's Back!" thread, and we could just edit Gupfee's INFO post to include anything new from Season II. Alternatively, we could make a separate INFO post with all of the Season II info that could be stickied, but I wouldn't want to do that until we get a video to put us beyond all doubt that Season II has begun. Right now it feels too prologue-y to sticky anything just yet.

However, I'm pretty sure it's gonna start in a few weeks and I'm super-pumped. Again, I feel this thread is too easily turning to speculation to be stickied without some overhaul.

If this does get stickied, I honestly would have no problem with that. I'll keep updating it and everything.

I say we wait until a video gets posted or something of equal significance happens; then we clean up and organize as necessary.

I agree about stickying the thread only if a video is put up; right now is fun, but not a solid leap into season 2! If you can edit the first thread, then it's possible to let this one become about the speculation; an unofficial official season 2 thread, if you will? Sort of like the continuation of the trailhead from last season, where we discussed the hell out of every tiny aspect?

IT'S BACK may just fall by the way-side over time as videos start to come out and we make individual threads for 'em. I say we transfer over to this thread to speculate once that begins to happen, let Axcel keep updating the first post as time goes on, and update the already stickied thread with the appropriate info as well. Personally, I don't much like how separated the stickied threads are from the rest of 'em... besides, if we migrate to this thread and speculate here, it'll be kept bumped up to the top! A self-fulfilling cycle!

Well, I for one think we should keep to the old "new thread for each video" format. I hate reading the EMH thread, because I have to wade through all those epileptic trees to find out if anything happened. I mean, I'll see five whole new pages in the thread, and scan through them only to find that nothing has actually happened.

Seconded SO HARD. I don't even bother with the EMH thread anymore (well, not true; periodically I try, and then get frustrated and stop) because it's so filled with meaningless drivel. I don't want Marble Hornets threads to get bogged down with the same kind of "omg my power went out for .5 seconds it must be slondermon!" as happens in the EMH thread every five goddamn posts.

If there was a way to keep people who like the off-topic blather somewhere other than the actual speculation threads, that would be utterly ideal. The chatter IS fun, and can be hilarious, but it has absolutely no place in a thread that is actually trying to theorize and dissect the series, especially in serieses as popular as EMH or Marble Hornets. Increasingly so because then everyone gets bitchy when newbies don't read the incomprehensibly long, mostly meaningless threads...

I think honestly the problem is more with how people are treating the threads than how the threads are labelled. When people start treating a forum thread like a chatroom, it quickly loses relevance and becomes essentially useless in the context of a forum. Having a well-labeled, oft-used "Off Topic Main Thread" might help, but unless people get more selective with what they choose to post, the volume of people is probably going to mean that keeping threads on topic is going to be very, very hard.

The problem with the EMH thread is that is needs a subforum to divide it all up in. Right now everythings crammed into one topic.

I like this plan. Let's do this.

I love the threads devoted to new video entries; they make it easier for newbies to come back and see what's been debated to death, and give us a place to pick things apart and squee over them; I really didn't mind having a thread devoted to the video updating simultaneously with the on-topic mega-thread when videos first came out! Sure, we'd be discussing the same thing twice over, but it was on-topic and sometimes new thoughts would come up in one that weren't being pimped in the other.

EMH needs at LEAST an on-topic and an off-topic thread devoted to their ARG; they deserve at least that much. EMH-followers can talk about their schizophrenic dogs and untoasting toast in their off-topic thread and then get back to the business of figuring out how many Evans it takes to screw int a lightbulb in their on-topic thread. Ideally, they should have their own subforum. EMH has done more than enough to warrant a split from the Slender-verse blogs, and is obviously still active! One of the big reasons that I haven't been following it is, like some of you guys have mentioned, the thread is a pig sty and is hard to follow. I don't even know where to find the wiki out of that soup of banter!
