Entry 38?

Alex's Will after the events of Entry #29?

Maybe he went back to Alex's apartment, and took all the tapes.

That seems most likely. I don't think Alex would be wanting to help him anymore after 47 since he down right says it.

I don't think that he would have had Alex's permission if he did take them

Hey Operator, I can't find my tapes.

It's possible I misplaced them.

Or they were taken.

(I had to Smile)

Entry 38?

Clearly takes place in a universe where Evan makes the save for Jay, and Alex was the Observer, who used Noah to kill Jeff dog in the tunnel of 29, leading to the Thanksgiving videos.

[SPEC] My plot theories. Let me know what you think...

So, my friends and I watched all of the videos last night, and we came up with some theories that I think make a lot of sense, and would be really cool.

Obviously, these are just speculation, and not confirmed, but I do discuss things that would be spoilers for people who haven't seen all of the material.

THEORIES:

1. I believe that the Slender Man has the ability to invade the body of a person. This is what I believe is happening to Alex, Jay, etc. when they have their gaps of memory loss.

I think that this explains the fact that, for no reason, Alex called Jessica and told her that he found Amy. I also think that this explains why he wasn't scared or upset when he and Jay saw the Slender Man in his apartment.

I think the symptoms of the 'possession' include feeling cold, memory loss afterwards, the need to take some sort of medicine to prolong the possession, and coughing up blood.

If you think back to one of the earliest videos, Tim was complaining of being cold, when no one else was, and he was coughing violently and trying to sneak medicine when no one was looking. He also acted extremely out of his usual character. This again happens to Alex, Jay, and even Jessica, when the same symptoms are present.

2. I believe that the people with the masks are actually trying to kill the Slender Man. I think that they wear the masks, so that the people they are attacking can't identify them, and therefore, when the Slender Man possesses their bodies, they cannot identify them either. They only attack people who seem to be suffering from the symptoms of possession.

Those are my main theories. Let me know what you think Smile

Welcome to the forum, prizefighter23!

I merged the topic you made into the Season 2 Official Discussion Thread, given that the topic was a general one to begin with. As a general rule, if you can post what you want to say in an existing thread, do.

Good spec you've got going on here! It's interesting that you bring up the "cold" as a symptom of Operator possession (or such). That's a bit of info that's left out of a lot of theories... but a good one to consider.

I remember when folks were talking about how Alex and Jay were acting pretty durpy in #20. Could it be that rather than Slender-ference being directed at Tim, who was coughing and feeling ill, Jay and Alex were sort of under control (hence the script sounding much difference from everything that we had seen before), and the mere proximity to their Operator-fuxxed persons was what was causing Tim to flip?

More likely, I suppose that Tim's reaction was an after-effect of his proximity to the Operator in #17 (ooooold chatter, forgive me!) but thinking on how Alex phoned Jessica about Amy -- apparently under the Operator's influence -- it might put a new spin on the events of #20 from back in the day...

What makes you think the script is any different from what we saw before? All we see is a few lines from Tim that are totally out of context.

Well, in the parts where we see the actors trying to act, it sounds more about a dopey guy coming back to a home town and being mopey about it. When Alex and Jay talk about it the script sounds much more dangerous... "pretty much everyone's at risk," Alex said at one point, I think? I just remember that a lot of forumites had suggested that the two were acting strange in #20. At the time, people were saying that perhaps Tim had been under the influence of the Operator, which they suggested therefore correlated to Tim having been interfered with before Alex was...

But we see that the Operator was around (supposedly?) when Alex was a child, via the birthday video. And we've seen Alex acting strangely under the Operator's influence. So it could be that #20 was Tim reacting to the after effects of the Operator simply being in that house, rather than that he was earlier affected than anyone else.

As far as the line 'pretty much everyone's at risk' goes, that was a joking reference to Alex being in charge of the production of MH - wielding all that power. I'm surprised so many people thought - and continue to think, it seems - that Alex and Jay were acting strangely or out of character in Entry #20. Honestly, I've always seen their behaviour in that Entry as one of the only glimpses we're ever given of what their friendship must have been like, down to the sarcastic banter and the finishing of eachother's sentences and all that jazz.

Compare that to the way Tim was acting in the same Entry - especially given what we've seen of his personality in Entry #17 and Entry #9 - and I know who my money is on as being the effected party. Now as to why Tim would be more sensitive to the negative ramifications of The Operator's presence versus, say, the person we know The Operator was purposely stalking (although likely not since childhood) - that's a good question.

I gotta admit that Alex and Jay didn't exactly seem to be on the best terms with Alex the way they were speaking to each other and the fact that Alex as walking infront of Jay like they didn't want to speak to each other, and besides , The actual writing Jay put onto it said they say almost nothing to each other. I don't know about anyone else but I have to say that it's a little coincidental to have a falling out with each other and then when they see each other again they don't talk?

Just take examples from the dialogue. Jay doesn't seem to be that happy with Alex
