 		I'm getting a bad feeling in my gut about the safe... almost like we should have figured the combo out by now, and because we've failed, it's going to have negative effects on the rest of this situation...

Also, the amount of audio and visual distortion in entry 32 is amazing... Up until now I've never seen anything like it in the videos (at least not jay's videos, totheark is a different story entirely...)

All in all, things are starting to heat up.

Aaaaagh, this is exactly what I'm afraid of. I'm pretty sure Marble Hornets doesn't operate on a "can't go on until the fandom gets it" basis, but it still makes me kind of anxious. <_<

 		I just had a strange thought while rewatching all the entries/TTA videos. The drawings Alex does... I don't know if they've been talked about much, but I had an idea.

The camera, the writing/drawings... maybe they're a way of keeping his memories? Like, J lost his memories and there were times of MB he doesn't remember, during the first Masky attack, the camera turns off and he can't remember anything after that, etc. Maybe Alex first started filming himself to keep his memories, and the furious writing (SEES ME, OPERATOR, etc.) could be him trying to stop himself from losing his mind/memories.

... maybe advanced Slendy sickness causes severe memory loss, just like J lost seven months?

I dunno. Random thought, wasn't sure where to put it n.n

I could almost see it as his attempt to identify himself before telling J to find him. I'm sure there's more evidence elsewhere as well, but I've just begun to look at it from this point of view.

While I agree that because the Operator is supernatural and thus pretty much able to do whatever the creators of the story need him to be able to do, I'm going to address your second point in regards to who TTA is.

What if TTA was trying to communicate cryptically for a reason? Maybe you are a little bit right, and the Operator has some access to the technology of the internet or some such and that he could theoretically view the TTA videos or something -- or at the very least, he could pluck the concept of them out of someone's mind and examine them that way. Were that the case (and functioning under the idea that TTA is NOT working for or with the Operator, for the sake of argument), it would not be a far leap to assume that TTA is being cryptic so that the Operator will not understand what TTA is hoping that Jay will.

This is especially likely if TTA is Masky, and is using the mask to hide his identity from the Operator. For that reason, dropping oblique hints in videos as to his identity (such as Tim's face overlaid at the end of Messages) would be a way to try and communicate with Jay his identity without putting himself at risk of being 'found out'.

I think that the Operator understands the gross generalities of humanity, but fails on the specifics and the subtleties. He understands humanity to the same degree that he's able to take a human form -- he gets the shape right, but durned if he understands the relevance of all of those bits and toggles on the head, or those wiggly digits at the ends of the limbs. For that reason, the TTA videos would go right over his head -- he wouldn't even get that they have any communicative relevance to them, not like we understand. They'd basically be white noise to him, static. In that way, that kind of metaphor and oblique reference would be the perfect anti-Operator camouflage for any important information.

Unfortunately (and this is where we get into my pet theories rather than anything really solidly defensible), they got TOO oblique and Jay had no idea WTF TTA was trying to say either, just that he was trying to say SOMETHING. That's why I think there was such a tone change during Warning and ######: TTA had gotten sick of trying to communicate subtly, and had decided the only way to get Jay to do what he thought was necessary to do was to take direct control and manipulate Jay in the direction he wanted him, hands-on, as it were.

 		I'm having trouble wrapping my head around why Masky would show up with the apparent intent of separating Jay and Jessica, while giving Jay more information to put him back on the trail.

In the original twitter updates that start off the season, we see a circle with two 'x's in 'em. I took that to mean Jessica and Jay, as they both seem to be in similar circumstances. They seemed to be on the verge of working together; if Masky put up the original twitpics, it suggests to me that he was aware of them working together, and was allowing it for whatever reason. Why separate them so that only Jay leaves the hotel?

What if the two 'x's in the circle were meant to be Jay and Masky (Or, I guess, Tim?) I suppose it would explain why Masky seemed to chase him off before he could run with Jessica in tow, or have much of a chance to explain things to her. And why he would drop a combination to the safe so that Jay could get information.

O_o" I just am not really sure that that makes sense. Any thoughts or opinions?
