That is an interesting development. Lets hope something is going to happen in that area?

My phone has never had anything happen to it - but then I'm not sure what the deal is with roaming phones.

Actually, come to think of it, aren't these phones pay as you go Virgin Mobile devices? I used to have a virgin mobile phone on a similar plan.
The deal was you had to put 20 bucks on the phone every 90 days to keep the phone number active. I bet that's why they're updating now, because they don't want to lose the numbers. Maybe they'll get used closer to the movie premier for some purpose.

Way to bring us down. But it looks like it is the truth!

If you have selected one of the expiring Pay As You Go plans described above, your account will remain active ("Active Period") for 90 days after you Top-Up at least $20 ($15 if you select the $15 Auto Top-Up option), or 45 days after you Top-Up at least $10 (consecutive $10 Top-Ups within a 45-day period may extend the Active Period up to a maximum of 90 days from the initial $10 Top-Up)

Figuring its now August, If I was doing this, it would be about the time to start a new viral, before the start of the school season for most of the world in September. Arizona is different, it starts today in many areas of the state.

DEFINITELY! I'm one of the last to go back...September 13, but I'm hoping for another phase before then.

"We put $20 in your account no strings attached! Use your $ to call or text, your phone is active through 11/11/10."

Not sure if "we" is Flynn Lives or Virgin Mobile. Either way, I'm pumped. I tested the number and it still works (*cough* 42E *cough*).
