I'm warming to these guys a lot, actually. I know EMH did the "pals hanging out" thing before, but the whole documenting-your-band idea is an interesting spin on the concept - it explains why they're videoing everything in the first place, but it also means they can be relaxed and informal about things, which I think helps if you're doing the "playing yourself" thing.

They've also done a good job with the way they've reacted to the oddities, laughing it up when they find the bear and the knife early on but getting more serious once lines start being crossed.

Also, I know the end of "Little bit about us... and" was a bit waving-cameras-around-in-the-dark, but I really liked these things about it:
- The stutter in the film with the shape in the top right corner flailing about. I don't care whether that's meant to be Slendy or not, that's a pretty stark and worrying image.
- Setting something on fire (provided they were smart about it and took sensible precautions) was in every respect a fantastic idea. I was expecting yet another running-around-in-the-dark video with nothing special to recommend it, but when the guys ran outside and you get the brief shot of the toy on fire it really shakes you out of your seat.
- Some of the attention to detail is pretty good - like the way you can hear one of them freaking out in the background whilst the other two are having a conversation, rather than everyone taking turns to say their lines like it's scripted.

Anyway, it looks like a graveyard video's coming up, should be interesting.

I've been liking it more as it goes along. I really didn't like it at first, but since the teddy bear or whatever got set on fire, I've been enjoying it.

I agree that it's generally a bad thing to share your alternate reality with another story that's being made by people you're not in communication with. You need to run on the assumption that everything fits together logically; you can't afford accidental contradictions in lore the way normal fiction tie-ins can.

That said, you can't fault them for a lack of enthusiasm! 15 vids in three weeks, damn! And they have a pretty good dynamic, so that's good.
