Fairly OT question for the crowd.

What's a good way to advertise a new ARG/Slenderseries? I've been looking at some of the newer ones (I need something to fill the long lonely hours between MH and EMH updates), and it doesn't seem like people often just "stumble" upon new series... most of the time it's an unregistered guest going "oh hey I found this blog," which is fairly obvious, or it's a gamejack, which... is just in poor taste. So what are some good ways of getting people's attention?

A lot of the lady HYBRIDS wear glasses indeed, a lot of them are also very nice and pretty. I think it must be in our nature.

No Cougar, I'm like Dayummm when I look at the pictures of the HYBRIDS who are fellow ladies. I'm one myself but I think the lady HYBRIDS have this thing going for them where they are all very attractive or cute or some from of one of these.

ahem. also, so far as advertising a slendyblog? it helps, i think, if it's not "discovered" until it's already pretty well going. don't jump the gun and post a thread about it after the first entry. get a good log going, you know? at least, i know that it's my Habit not to get into an ARG until it's gained some kind of foothold, which is why being included in that trailhead irked me so much. i mean, i WANT to participate from the start, but it's just so...feh. there's too much floundering around in the beginnings of ARGs for me to get interested straight off. if you want to have it look like it has some hardcore fans already, tell some friends about it and have them interact with the main story early on. when people see that there are already a few folks solving puzzles and whatever, it makes it easier for them to jump in as well.

So I'm sure this will be controversial, but with the whole equal_opposite trolling issue, among other things, I think just starting a separate forum for EMH would not be a bad idea. That way we could have our own moderators who could react quicker to such annoyances. Also, it would take some strain off of uF, which is kept alive by donations and such. Plusly, the timestamps would be correct.

If I could remember the password for my old RPing forum, I would just retool that into an unofficial EMH forum outside of Unforum. Though I doubt anyone would leave the Unforum EMH threads for something like that. *shrug*

If the mods are going to continue not moderating this section and/or making it its own section, we may have no choice but to just make our own forum separate from uF.

Hm, I don't think we should worry about creating our own forum or anything just yet. According to this thread, it's just that the admins are too buys with holidays and stuff to decide on a separate EMH forum. Now, if they say no, or if we really *are* taking up too much UnForum space o.o, then maybe it would be a good idea to have our own EMH forum... we could have our own admins and mods and areas specific to all the off-topic chatter we do =P. But, I think we should wait until the admins say something, or at least we've cooled off on the annoying troll business (we shouldn't let a troll be the impetus for some big decision, I think)
