Does anyone have ideas for 'event' cards in a slenderboardgame?

The more I can use, the better.

You guys are chatting fiends.

I'm not sure what you want but here are some that come to mind?

Also, you should make more character cards.

Hello, EMH Offtopic!

I basically just watched nearly all the episodes/videos/etc of EMH.
must say it's fuckin amaaazing so far, I really like it.
I love MH as well, but I've gotta say that EMH has proved to be more fun (for me) and I like their acting a lot better. However, we have seen the MH crew do less acting generally, so...

Anyway, the only thing I was to lazy to check out were Damsel's blog, her twitter, and EMH's twitter.
I got all the connections so far though, I think.

Can't wait for more now!
See you around here.

Well, as EMH and Slenderman's unofficial parodyer, let me be the first to welcome you to the madness.

Oh right, I saw some of that glorious shit you've made. Fantasticest!
Also, I just remembered some more connected stuff - Jessie's youtube channel, and also have not watched any of the Ustream vids.
How much am I missing? This is hard damn work. it's 4:30 am here and I'm gonna go to bed now though. Damn, all that stuff kept me up long enough.

O.O Geez man, get some sleep!

As for what else there is, you probably missed Alex's YT channel, and there's the Twitter and Emails between us and the various characters. However, you are not alone when trying to catch up on all this, there is a wiki (with a timeline!) that makes everything MUCH easier:

http://everymanhybrid.wikia.com/wiki/EverymanHYBRID_Wiki

Good luck, and sleep well!

And don't bother with Jessie's Youtube, nothing there seems relevant except a few comments she's made.

Dude, you think I got through pretty much everything so far without using that wiki-walkthrough? heh.
No, I've seen all vids (not those two leaked ones though, deliberately) including Alex's. You people commucatin' with them is something of a blind spot for me though. I'll check that.

BTW, good morning now, and also, to all who have done work on the wiki - great job. For such a convoluted plot, it's actually structured really overseeably. Prawps!

And now, to pointlessly bump the thread, more obscure horror film recommendations you did not ask for. This time: obscure British horror!

First up: The Stone Tape. A BBC telefilm from the early '70s, starring future grande dame Jane Asher and written by Nigel Kneale, the British master of "supernatural-science" horror who has influenced so very much since. Kneale is best known for the various Quatermass films and television series, but I got to know him first from this. The Stone Tape is about a research team working for a British electronics conglomerate, determined to find the next big portable audio medium so as to beat what they quite politically-incorrectly refer to "Ol' Nippon" (Japan) to the punch. This was some time before the CD player, or even the typical cassette tape, I think. Anyway: The team begins work out of a spooky old manor house in the highlands, which Jane Asher's character soon discovers is haunted. In a particular room, at no discernible moment, seemingly at random, she sees a woman dressed in turn of the century clothing ascend an unfinished stone staircase, freeze, scream for her life, then disappear. This strange scene happens again and again and again. The entire local village knows of it. Vague stories swirl around about the house and the spirits inside. Clues begin to come together. Asher and her married lover discover a cryptic Christmas note from the children of one of the former masters of the house: "All I want for Christmas is please go away."

Upon further investigation, the team concludes that the house is not haunted per se; rather, a severe psychic trauma - the maid's mysterious death - has imprinted itself on the ancient stones that make up the mansion's foundation. The team realizes they can use these stones as a tape of psychic recording medium, beaming any content directly into the head of a user - way beyond an iPod. But as they begin experimenting with wiping away the original 'haunting' and imprinting new 'data' onto the stone 'tapes,' Jane Asher's character fears something far worse lies beneath the imprinted 'trauma' that lives within the stones - something not human.

The Stone Tape is made on a shoestring budget. Its FX are nothing to look at, a bit dated and very goofy, and there is very little in the way of overt scares. It is largely dialogue and character, and a mounting sense of dread. It is a kind of intelligent, quiet horror which was way ahead of its time. And yes - it is on YouTube. Go watch it.

Now for the other recommendation, more recent: Ghostwatch. I'm sure our British posters - we have those, right? - are familiar. One of the first "found footage horror" films, it is a BBC production from the early '90s which was a giant Halloween hoax. Presented as a live broadcast (it wasn't) on Halloween night inside a haunted house in the suburbs, it maintains the illusion of live television with flubs and gaffes, constant cutting back and forth between a studio and the location shoot, and most of all, it uses very well-known BBC news personalities as the cast, including trusted long-term presenter and interviewer Michael Parkinson. For Americans like myself, think Matt Lauer, Diane Sawyer, Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, etc. - these people were household names in the UK at the time, playing themselves, in on the gag. As the night wears on, things of course go horribly wrong inside the house, and as kind of a proto-Slendy you can find yourself looking for and spotting the phantom demon of the story throughout - on the street, in the house, and in the BBC studios. Then a supernatural apocalypse descends upon the world.

Ghostwatch still holds up, aside from the fashion. It apparently caused a War of the Worlds-style panic at the time - many viewers were fooled by the authentic news personalities and presentation, and called in to complain. There may or may not have been several suicides associated with the film, and it was then banned from broadcast or distribution for something like ten years. And yes - it is on YouTube. Search "Ghostwatch 1992." It is awesome and I love it. Go watch it.

This has been your public service announcement from an Ugly American. Goodnight.

Gone through the timeline and watched the videos, read the posts and such. I've yet to read those doctors reports things or properly look at what was in those boxes...

I have to say, and no offence to anyone, I'm just not feeling it. Not saying that others shouldn't enjoying, but there's something off here for me.

Sure it runs more like an ARG than Marble Hornets, but there just seems to be something about it. I'm not fond of the characters (except Evan) and I have no idea what is up with this HABIT thing and the Rabbits so I'm just kinda ignoring it as a side-story at the moment...

I dunno. It isn't that too much is happening in different places or that I've missed a lot of the events as they happen...

I'm going to continue to follow it for a while, but it all seems kinda... I dunno... All over the place and not going anywhere in particular. Like there's no end-game plan.

Maybe it's just not your thing. Everyone's entitled to their opinion so long as they aren't being dicks about it. I for one think they'll probably manage to tie everything up pretty well, even if it ends up a thirty Xanatos pileup. OOG Jeff seems like he knows where he's going, and he's the main writer IIRC.

I do wish HABIT would get off its ass and give us a new trial, or at least some more entertaining tweet.. I'm getting bored and impatient.
