Who doesn't love The Fifth Element? That movie is made of awesome. I wish they still made awesome movies like that. It's all about the money instead of actually telling a story nowadays.

Wow. Let this be a lesson to all of you: always look up slang terms before you use them in a joke. The "always" deserves its italics back there; look them up even if you, your friends, your enemies, your neighbors, your parents, and everybody you've ever met has always used the same definition all your life. Because the one time you assume that everybody has the same definition you do and don't look up alternate meanings, you'll end up with your foot firmly planted in your mouth.

I was a-gonna say, "Well, I've played with gay chickens," but I decided to check just in case and make sure the term was used the same everywhere. It turns out that my speech communities have had a much, much, much more innocent definition of "chicken" than is common. Urgh.

So with mu due date looming and Lil playing silly buggers with setting off contractions then not making an appearance, I thought I'd wind up the doctors whilst I'm in the delivery ward. Any ideas? I'm not in hospital yet, I'd just like to see what funny stuff I can do to amuse me and my boyfriend whilst we wait for madame to arrive.
