Science of Deduction (BBC Sherlock Holmes) The BBC have a new series of Sherlock Holmes, which started this week. There's an accompanying website that acts as a tie-in with some puzzles to keep you busy, although looks like no real interactions.

Sadly enough the first puzzle was fairly simple:

The BBC Sherlock Page has a "definitive list of official Sherlock character sites and accounts".

John Watson's Blog | www.johnwatsonblog.co.uk
Molly Hooper's Diary | www.mollyhooper.co.uk
Connie Prince's official site | www.connieprince.co.uk
Agree the first "hidden message" wasn't too difficult 'tho the Forum and these sites appear somewhat interactive. And it IS Sherlock so the game is afoot

@The Core : Ahaha...then I'll just say mega THX for this trailhead and what looks like another "anonymous" evil genius to thwart.
ETA : Took a looksee at the Forum and am toying with using an 'aka' there, Amantha DeHase. Just cuz that sounds odd and suspicious.

Just watched the episode, couple things to add.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There's an email address in the episode: jennie.pinkSPLAT mephone.org.uk
there's a password to go with it (rachel) but the site doesn't look like it does in the show, obviously since the domain is just parked. So far the email hasn't bounced though.
There's also a phone number in the episode: +447955905099 but since I'm not in the UK I won't be calling it anytime soon, also not sure how to verify if it's a legit number. If it is I would suggest texting it as Holmes has an obsession with texting in the modern day apparently.
Both of these belong to the dead girl so there's a chance neither will work IG

Watson has a blog: http://www.johnwatsonblog.co.uk/
http://www.connieprince.co.uk/
http://www.mollyhooper.co.uk/
I don't see any way to register for any of the above sites and therefore no way to interact.

Actually he says the game is "on" in this show. Not sure I'm liking the whole modern day take on this as the Victorian era was a large part of the charm of Sherlock Holmes, at least for me.

Got to say I quite enjoyed A Study in Pink . I must say I was skepticle about the modern day setting, but I think Moffat, Cumberbatch and Freeman nailed it.
I liked the fact that the name is loosley based on the first Holmes book, A Study in Scarlett . Should he have used "The game is on (afoot)" AND "A three patch problem" in the same episode? We haven't had "Elementary my dear Watson" yet though.
I understand BC turned down the role of DW, although he is still linked with it as MS may be quitting soon, does anyone else think he looks like a young Tom Baker?

Agree he looks alot like the good Dr. Do believe the BBC is uninspired by not opening the forum and msg boards to player comments yet will continue to follow the trail.

That exact line was never used in any Sherlock Holmes book.

I whole heartedly agree - there is little or no point to those websites if they are not interactive. I mean, he is asking us for our help to solve something, but we cannot help because we can't log in... How lame is that?
However, the website did give the answer to the strange text Holmes sent on Watson's phone in the lab at St. Barts - Something along the lines of "If brother has green ladder arrest brother - SH". That made no sense to me at all, until I saw the website and the past cases.

Message 2 stuck hi,
I have been trying to crack the message 2 but im stuck
I know that it is a Grid Cipher from where he says 'I live of the grid.'
But the result is just a BUNCH OF NUMBERS.
I have changed those numbers into letters (1 is A, 2 is B e.t.c)
But then it looks like a bunch of random letters.
I think i might use these results with another method of grid to get the final results but can ANYONE help?
Thanks

Maybe it's just me... but that message doesn't seem particularly menacing for a super villian, does it? lol

Sarah B. Too true. Sherlock posted hidden message #3 HERE . The good hint below it is a cipher type indication.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's a Pigpen cipher. Image type #2 at Purple Hell which decodes as:
Sherlock

You
ETA: Am enjoying the BBC TV production immensely.
