 [Question] Badges & Honors.
What's the deal?

Hi Users/Programs Very Happy

Long time lurker here, since the Pit Cell/Screen Scene days. Thought it about time I made a contribution.

First off, hopefully i've posted this question in the correct place? Please correct me if i haven't.

I'd like to know your thoughts on the Badges and Honors.
Now that were approaching the end game, do you think that there is some kind of benefit to someone whos earned many badges&honors, compared to say someone who maybe has earned just two?

I don't know, access to a Tron Legacy pre-screening event or something?

honestly, I'd say no. But I also assume we are a long long way from the end game. Tron Legacy is the first of a trilogy. Thus giving us 4 tron movies. I doubt 42 entertainment will lose it's job of putting on this awesomeness.

Wouldn't it be cool though if all the flynn livers that had badges&honors dating back to the early days got to see the movie a day early. A flynn lives screening. That would be awe-suhm!
Whaddya reckon?

that's a very good point. I hadn't thought of the future movies. Gives me hope!

I would say bragging rights and swag that not everyone will get. Great stuff to pass on to the kids.

It's possible we will get that regardless. With WhySoSerious? for the Dark Knight the game culminated in a free advance screening of the film in IMAX about a week before the release. We aren't guaranteed a screening, but I wouldn't be surprised if we got one.

It has worked brilliantly on my 9 year-old son. He's become so interested and involved in technology now more than he ever has over the last few months, in major part because of my being able to parlay Tron stuff into real-life stuff.

Amen to that. My 8 year old is obsessed with Tron now thanks to all of this. The only downside is that he goes to school and tries to talk to this friends about it and they have no concept. LOL!

My son is 4, and he's only barely aware of this. Star Wars has consumed him nicely, hopefully I'll be able to get him into Tron with a couple movie viewings and toys

Same thing with my son. He's taken a recognizer to school and no one knows what he's talking about when describing it.

So once you've completed the task/puzzle and awarded the badge&honor (& possible swag - in my case) it won't count towards anything but bragging rights? mmm ok. I was hoping there was more to it.

Its a bit like XBOX 360 Achievement points, some people cant see the point(no pun intended) in them, whilst others get excited about getting them.

OT a little,it crossed my mind the other day how cool it would be to go up against some of you guys online when Tron Evolution comes out.

[OT] Tron Evolution on the XBOX oh yes! I'm looking forward to the game as much as the movie. I'm gonna get battle grids too, lovin' the stylised look. I'm like that kid from willy wonka with the golden ticket at the moment.
