Nah. I may frame it to the side along with the answer key.

Anyone notice # 001 is on eBay?

I really feel sad about this too. This guy should have put a reserve and a Buy It Now. I'm not looking to sell mine (#007), but selling #001 the way he is really devalues all of our posters, In My Humble Opinion. He's just dumping it on eBay and taking whatever he can get for it.

With eBay, even if someone is willing to pay $500 for the #1, it'll only go for $500 if another person is willing to pay $495. Man, I really hate this. I'll actually bid on this to see if I can get it for "cheap". The price won't really move at all until near the end on Feb 10th, a Thursday during work hours (another way NOT to auction something), so I believe someone is going to get A STEAL. The "smart person" would contact SamKate early and make a private offer, and have him end the auction early. This way, no one knows the "last resale value of #001 in this series". The last couple of posters all didn't get bids of even $80 on eBay, I wonder if he realizes it.

Lots of other kinds of posters on eBay go for more than $80, and I think this one is one of the rarest and coolest. I think #001 is special too, but come on... Dropping it on eBay with no reserve?!? After the last couple sold for under $80? Ending on a Thursday?!?

Ok, enough of my moaning and groaning. I just don't like this...

funny that you say this.

I just think he is doing it at the wrong time. He should have held off for the dvd or sold it when the movie first came out... I know the guy that got over 600.00 for his clu controller its all about the timing. Hell people sold some for 150 and 300 I was happy to get 275 for mine. I almost was going to keep it but that's a lot of cash....

I don't think it will devalue them its up to the buyer to jive it the value you could have the last one if no one wants it then its a big zero....

I do see where you are coming from

Yeah it will probably hover until there's about 4 hours left then it will jump again. #001 would be nice to have, it is kind of hard estimate the value though. It's a small edition size but the pool of people that really want one is somewhat small as well.

I'd love to have another to give to my friend that didn't get one even though he finished about an hour before I did, however it's not as fun to have gotten it from the source.

Re: custom framing your FL posters - just wanted to bring to your attention two places that are here in SoCal (Orange County) that do awesome work at good prices:

Frame Fetish - They can do custom borders that would fit the Zach note + puzzle key and they also do custom borders and could probably do a Tron-ish grid style design. Probably a bit more expensive than an Aaron Bros, but it will be done right and will be more unique. Personally have not used them yet, but know people who have for other posters and love them! http://www.framefetish.com/

The other place I recommend, and personally use is a place called Picture Show Gallery in Seal Beach, CA (owner is Mike Adler). He framed my rare Shag prints and they turned out super nice. Best part is he is super cheap for high quality custom framing (I shopped around and his higher quality framing was still less without coupons than it would have been for shoddy work at Michael's/Aaron Bros with one of their coupons (was less than $200 for a matted custom frame job approx 36x20).

Just thought I'd recommend these two from experience trying to frame custom things myself, as I know the work they do is awesome. I've ultimately learned that by the time you end up trying to make something work in terms of frame sizes and stock mattes at those chain stores, you might as well go to one of these custom guys who doesn't nickle and dime (custom framing is the biggest racket in terms of insane pricing vs. their costs). You can always do it yourself to, but I prefer to let the pros do it.

As an example, I plan on getting my FL stuff framed at Picture Show eventually as follows:

Set of Postcards in an individual matte window each with the corresponding gold coin matted directly below the each card in a seperate circular window. In the middle I'll put a "Flynn's Arcade" and "Home of Tron" coin next to each other in seperate matte circles to complete the design.

Want to get all my FL pins framed in a custom little shadow box just for those pins for the ARG.

On a seperate note and in regards to AA poster eBay prices, I've noticed that the more expensive auctions went for people with lots of positive feedback and the ones that have gone for under $100 have typically been for newer eBayers with less positive feedback. That might have something to do with the price changes (besides the obvious cooling off period we're in). I agree with another post that best time to auction is when the Blu-Ray comes out OR I highly recommend waiting to list the two weeks leading up to Comic Con in July.

Well that's it. #001 of the Arcade Aid Poster has been auctioned off on eBay and went for $255 (not too bad...). You can check it out for yourself here:

Arcade Aid Poster Legend
Because Folks keep asking me about it at work.

Funny how things take their time to catch on.
I proudly displayed my poster in the office and shared it's story with several folks who, for the most part, thought I was a bit wonky.

All of a sudden, it's drawing folks in to look for names.
Because I really do need to get some work done, I made a Word Doc as a legend for the picture.
I admit shamelessly borrowing the indexed picture from whoever it was that posted the pic, here, previously and whose name I can't find at the moment. (I'll update this post with credit if someone can remind me who did it). TiggerMan.

ETA: Thanks, TiggerMan (original post at: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=759123#759123)

Anyway. It's a legal-sized pic with numbered legend at the bottom. Prints readably on a color laserjet.

Another poster (#701) is on eBay (not mine) along with the Encom postcards and Arcade Aid and Flynn Lives pins.

It'll be interesting to see how it does. The Buy It Now seems a little high at $249 but considering #001 went for $255 maybe it's right.
