Just a thought

This wasn't really a new trail. I mean, the URL that set all this off at ArcadeAid was called bonuslevel. So, consider it a bonus. We got a bunch more back story in the form of images/sounds/video. It all kinda fits as a denouement to this stage of the game. It's clearly not over, as Mako's audio thing should be coming shortly.

But good work sussing out all the trail stuff. Would have been nice for achievements for more Hello Flynn codes, but that hasn't been the MO. It's mostly just been used to give us neat files.

What if the audio we found is Mako's stuff? That is what I assumed...and I am still not seeing how this ties into the FL discussion post about Sam...although I guess it could just be the backstory we found...I don't know, i feel like there is something else to do, but what that something is...well I have no clue.

so I went back and read the last thread on Flynn Lives.

The last line kinda struck a chord with some of the comments here.

"Let it go, JTF - sometimes a cheese puff is just a cheese puff."

I'm now of the opinion that this was all there was to this part. Now we wait.

Looking more closely at the Jordan/Sam image...it's double-exposed. If you look closely at their faces, unlike everything else in the photo, they aren't distorted. I used layering to see if I could like up the photos into a repeating pattern...however, the two images are positioned slightly off, as if they were taken when the two of them had moved in between shutter clicks.

Old news, but it's ok. We had people tearing these images apart last night to no avail. I still feel like there is something that can be done with the flower and the solar sailer... maybe. But maybe there is something we overlooked.

I think... if there is something here, it is in one of two places. Either the top section that you were able to overlay, or the bottom section that still looks like it might be numbers to me. How do I attach an image so I can show you all what I'm talking about?[/img]

Imageshack is what I used. Also, if you quote my previous post with images you can see how it's formatted.

Agreed!
Simmer on this

I agree with Planeseeker. Yesterday was a rush of deciphering clues to reveal more of the Flynn family's history and tease the next "level", which I believe they have done. Do I want a badge to show for it or concrete evidence of what's next though? Hell yeah. I think at the very least it's good to continue theorizing because it will keep you fresh for whatever does comes next. Keep goin', Unfiction Flynn Livers! It's less than a month away Very Happy

If I remember correctly, those were up before we even got this far. They were posted before we found the bonuslevel portion of Arcade Aid.

True, and I could be wrong. However; they may have figured we would run around trying to find something that wasn't there so they put this out there to head that off. All valid possibilities without someone in the know verifying one or the other or some other possibility.

No I know they were definitely up beforehand. But we have always been like that, so maybe it was their way of saying don't look to hard into it.
It's not going to stop me though Razz

There are some little oddities with the video (or more specifically, the audio of the video) that I felt I ought to post here.

#1. There's an underlying rhythm to the sound that doesn't seem like pure white noise to me. Isolating a certain range in a graphical equalizer gives a sound that is almost like a synthesized engine. It's a very bassy tone that I don't believe I've ever heard from video static before. Playing it back at different speeds also reveals that there is a certain lack of randomness to it. I can hear the pitch gradually changing throughout the entire track.

#2. For some odd reason, there is one section of the audio track in which the volume sharply drops (roughly 5.8 - 8.8 seconds in). When I first noticed it, I thought it just coincided with the camera cuts, but then when I loaded it into a timeline, I realized it didn't (though the end of it seems to, the beginning doesn't).

And a couple general IG things to note about the static. First is, why is it there at all? Was there no audio even in the original recording? Did somebody just neglect to transfer the audio to digital when this was uploaded? Was the static put there intentionally to cover up something in the original audio track?
