Tix for our midnight screening event came in today. Can't wait! Check out my Twitter feed to win a pair for the Boston area screening.

Wait, you got actual tickets? Did you order online? I did, and it says to just bring the credit card used to buy it with -_-

Not sure. Lots of these places won't even let you in the door until a couple hours before opening. I figure I'll try for 6:00 or 7:00. Think you can pull that off? For things like this they get decidedly unfriendly about people coming later. If you need to meet later, I can do that too.

I'll try. *sleep, who needs that?*

The tickets aren't available yet. I'll update this post when they are. Smile

If you get tickets to the Edwards in Mira Mesa, my roomate and I can take you(thats if you dont have a car)... since I know El Cajon won't be the best screen to see Tron on. I live in El Cajon and I hate going to Regal..lol

And I'll be doing a long-time line wait for the movie at this location. I've still got a good number of tickets on hold, if people still need them (just in case it sells out before my friends decide to get off their butts and reserve a spot)

This is part of our (2old2play) cross-promotion with the Jordan's IMAX theater where we will be on hand to give out TRON SWAG. The six tickets pictured above will be given away via skype (my feed and that of @2old2play & @dereknolan). We also have six additional tickets for the members of our Street Team who will be attending the event (and YES, one is mine Wink )

I'm going to be at the same theater I have been visiting for every TRON event in Los Angeles - Rave 18 IMAX, otherwise known as "The Bridge" north of LAX.

My other reason for posting? BE CAREFUL when ordering IMAX tickets:

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&oe=UTF8&msa=0&msid=113621990356540393221.000469b6c5915161c3667

I highly recommend you don't go to AMC IMAX. It's a rip-off. If you can't make it to a real IMAX, try and find a theater that is showing it in Dolby Digital 3D - I saw AVATAR at IMAX and Dolby, and the 3D experience with the Dolby technology was so much better - no ghosting, no headaches, really truly awesome.

Thats why I like the AMC Universal Citywalk, one of the true IMAX screens!

That map hasn't been updated in some time. Also, it has been known to have many inaccuracies. Your best bet if you are looking for a TRUE IMAX experience is to call the theater you are thinking of going to and ask if their IMAX projection system is digital or 70mm film. If they answer that it is digital, that is a LIEMAX. This is coming from an IMAX projectionist. I don't know WHAT they were thinking when they allowed their branding to be applied to these smaller screens and digital projection systems. You are NOT getting what you are paying for with LIEMAX.

I will be there as well! I might have met you briefly during Tron night since Phylos was kind enough to make me his +1. I was the bearded fella in that group...haha. Were you by any chance the guy wearing the black hoodie with the "Flynn Lives" shirt?

My dad used to be stationed there back in the 70's, my brother was actually born out there.

Hey, that WAS me! I slightly recall seeing you there as that group was quite large and hardcore (1pm?from Fresno? Wow.) My girlfriend and I had a blast meeting more Flynn Lives members and hearing each other's Tron-related stories. Of course, experiencing the Giants' win immediately following Tron Night was pretty sweet too! I look forward to seeing you there and hopefully the rest of the gang will be there too Smile
