Looks like I'll be seeing Tron Legacy in IMAX 3D after all! My brother went to see HP7 the other night at an AMC theatre and the reel burned up O.o. So he got 3 Guestfirst passes! Guestfirst passes have no restrictions, unlike the Regal Cinema reentrance pass. So on the 17th, I'll be at the 7 PM screening at AMC Columbia 14 & IMAX in MD
lol your not that far from where I'm seeing it and it's also an AMC. You should see if you can pull a switch and come to my theater.
Is the Tysons IMAX a true IMAX screen?
EDIT: The 10 pm show is no good for me...
Well it's no Dulles IMAX but it works and I'm going to the midnight show silly.

I would be interested in seeing how many LA/OC/SD folks would like to get together and meet at the Irvine Spectrum for TRON in IMAX 3D? Not a midnight showing, maybe the evening of the 17th? The Spectrum's IMAX screen is a MONSTER, it's where I saw 300 and Polar Express in IMAX 3D and it's far superior to anything in San Diego at least.
Anyone in those areas interested?
hmm I will have to see if I can take the day off, instead of the 6th..I'm interested on this.. If it all works out
We're both in SD-CA, we could carpool up to Irvine in a pinch...
When I go back to work on Monday I will talk to my boss about taking that day off.
My buddy and I are talking about meeting up at the Spectrum for the midnight show and wondered who has solidified plans for that screening. I will probably be taking the Amtrak up from San Diego that evening and then meeting up with him for the show.... definitely want to see it on a "real" IMAX screen... not the miniMAX stuff we have down here...

Welp, I have my ticket to the midnight showing at the Dayton South Rave Cinemas theater between Home Depot and Best Buy. I'll be seeing it with at least one of my kids the next day and then again Sat night with a friend at the IMAX.
Anyone else in the area?

So bad news for anyone that was going to meet up at Tyson's, turns out I have to leave town the day before so I won't be there but two of my friends instead will be.

Ireland-Europe Any in the green digital world going.. Big bummer for me, My brother who is ten years my junior managed to get tickets to see the midnight showing in his local Imax in Australia, There is no Imax left in Ireland, can't travel to England to catch the opening night because of work issues, doesn't look like there will be any midnight showing in any of the cinema's over here...
Will have to watch the original again... Any other Irish people want to meet up. We will have a choice of media to watch it from.
Betamax
VHS
Laserdisc
DVD
AVI
MPG4 High quality...
That is only if you haven't seen the original one..

Towing the Line Well, in light of today's revelation of an advance showing that's basically a free-for-all - I'm standing my ground by sticking to the midnight show at the Metreon.
Not hating on the folks that go to the Monday show, but that "first come, first served" condition is making me err on the side of caution.

Here is why I married the best woman in the world...
We just got the date of when our daughter will be born and it'll be a C-section on Dec 17th at 6:30am.
So I told her I would go return my tickets for the midnight showing for the night before. Basically her answer was "You had better go to that movie, not only have you had the date circled for two years, but you've been playing that Flynn Lives game for over a year. You have to go!"
Seriously? How awesome is that girl...?
