a blast from the past
Just got an e-mail from someone known as Jaadian Green. I did a quick search on here and found out about an old ARG from 2010-11 which had the same name in it. Could this be some kind of revival? The message is as follows:

EDIT: When I received the e-mail, the two files that are linked in this post were actually sent in the e-mail. I do not know why he/she would send the same file twice however.

I also got the same email and attachments.

Although they do seem the same, under the first picture in the doc the word
"Chronism..." is spelled, backwards.

One thing is for sure, that seems like a diagram for the sign of a USB drive.

not sure what it all means, but yeah....

Also i noticed in the first paragraph of the email, the first letters in each line spell out the word "VEGA"

Also dont know what that means, but there it is!

 		That image is definitely the symbol for the USB.

The word Blachehedfeld is hidden in white, it's an old name for Blackheath, London.

I think ...Chronism is meant to be Anachronism with the first three letters replaced with dots and the word reversed.

Jaadian looks like an anagram, probably "Adanija", a now-disused word for Adana, Turkey. That fits with Blachehedfeld, they're both anachronisms.

Excellent. I just watched The Institute last night, and it reminded me that I haven't played an ARG in ages (I did This Is My Milwaukee, Cloverfield, and Marble Hornets/EverymanHYBRID), but I always seem to stumble on them once they've been active for months.

Excited to get in on the ground floor of this one! Smile

 		Got this too! Doing a select all on the email reveals an "@" symbol before the signature. Which leads to a twitter account:

This poem from the original email is bothering me.

Gerald, howard stands out, and doesn't seem to make much sense. That makes me think that it's someone's name, as in "Gerald, Howard" or "Howard Gerald".

There was a Gerald Howard who was a British lawyer/politician after WWI. He was a National Liberal, and later a Conservative Party politician. Not knowing much about the UK, I don't know if there's any sort of connection to Blackheath / Blachehedfeld in any of his history, or if I'm just reading too much into this. I didn't play that one, so I am reading up on it now. There are too many connections to be unrelated. Little things like in the first attachment of the 2011 arg there was a puzzle over a picture of a thumb with green nail polish. The picture used in the Jaadian twitter has the same nail polish on just one thumb. Plus the novels about green magic.

 		Sent an email saying that I heard they need some help, and I'd love to contribute to the development of worldwide ideas. Got this response -

EDIT: I believe that "Are you the same as he/she/they that have sent a bird to us/I/we that has a dove in his/her/their name?/image?/sigil?/icon?" is a reference to me following them on Twitter shortly before i sent my email.

EDIT2: I opened the docx version of the file and enabled editing, and messed around with it a bit.

 		Fired off a few emails and will hopefully get closer to the nature of the answer sought. If anyone hasn't done so, I recommend reading the short story by Jack Vance below to get up to speed with the story behind the ARG. Jaadian certainly isn't an anachronism as I previously thought Rolling Eyes.

Not much I can really deduce at the moment - a diagram of a USB, the word 'anachronism' and an accompanying suitable word that translates to Blackheath, London. Characters acting in accordance with Jack Vance's works, perhaps implying that Howard and Gerald broke their truce. Two documents one of which is for the older version of MS word, and the latest of which contains an additional image including a chart of sorts. Personalised responses and allusions to children's rhymes and passages from novels...

 		I have been trying to deduce some connection between the given info for the past day or so. Dreams, Blackheath, usb, green magic... certainly a jumble.

Perhaps the usb is a diagram for the connection between the info. One thing/idea splintering off into many or backwards with many ideas converging into one. Jaadian said "follow the lines".
