[OT] Staying on top of the endgame

I have a smartphone, but I dunno how people stay updated with it. I subscribe to the RSS feed and check it throughout the day. Sometimes I mis the beginning of the puzzle. Sometimes, it just tells me that there have been 200 posts since I last checked on people just chatting. ::shrugs::

I have flynn lives set to my home page so it's the first thing I see in the morning, and then I hit up facebook several times a day. I work form home and so have access to my computer all day. Also Twitter occasionally helps, but I don't check it as much.

Twitter sends me updates, you don't even need a smartphone for it to send you texts, you just have to follow OperationTron for updates from them whenever they releases them. I also pop in here after I finish breakfast and after dinner just to make sure I'm up to date.

I'm also going to switch my homepage to FL, that is a brilliant idea Gazbot.

My question is whether or not there is a way to set up a twitter that all of us can post to so if one of us notices something they could tweet something like "Check FL" or something and then we'd all know.

I am following Flynn Lives & Operation Tron on twitter, pop into FL.COM a couple times a day, and check into here frequently throughout the day (mainly updating the poster thread). Bad thing is I can't help out much at work, especially when puzzles are flash based. Flash isn't updated on my work computer and I'm not going to ask IT to update it so I can...ummmm.... yeah work LOL

I'll be doing my best to keep @wikibruce updated for the remaining events, but I'd wager you have a great chance of being almost immediately informed if you track the #flynnlives hash tag. Heck if there's a big final event, expect a live feed akin to the Encom press conference event =).

But, probably the best way would be to subscribe to the "flynnlives"'s twitter RSS feed and check it every few minutes for new tweets in your reader (no need even for a twitter account).

UF also has the ability to be checked as a feed for updates. I check the FL for topics as well as certain threads. Because, honestly, the first thing most of us think to do is post here, so it's pretty much the guaranteed ground zero for any activity unless you stumble upon a FL update yourself.
