-J for Jesse could still make sense - he would have known some of the people his dad worked with, and he might trust MLO enough to ask what's going on.

It seems that MLO is wondering why the ex (now Dina) was erased as well as Avery - did ya'll get that from is scribblings?

My question would be why Jesse can remember this stuff when Dina and Ethan can't... and do we think Avery is somewhere in another persona or is he still himself and in hiding? Or maybe he's unplugged?

When Caeser/Jesse was talking about his big seizure he mentioned it freaking out the 'rents -- if this was recent he'd have to be talking about foster parents or adoptive parents though, if our theories are right. And I *do* think it was recent, because he was explaining why he'd been offline for a bit, and telling them that he knew who had been trying to break into his 'puter. So maybe they thought he'd erased his memory and he's letting everyone believe they did?

Data... we need more data....

More on MLO's scribbles on the sheismissing printout... the "What about J" part may have been referring to Jesse, not James as previously thought. This would be pretty good evidence that Jesse and MLO were actually tight, and that the betamaze encoded message truly was from Jesse.

Smile EXCELLENT Smile

The only weird thing is that there's automatically a character for carriage returns or the end of a line. No big deal, really.

Nice work!

ThanX for the cool font Danman!
That should come in handy - and even if it never does it looks cool.

OK, so tying up some loose ends:

Since we now know that Caesar / Jesse is James Avery's son (from the school ID), and we also know that the tapestry note was signed "-J", then the tapestry message was definitely from -J, because somehow he knew his father (James Avery) trusted Ormond.

So now Jesse definitely knows his father is James Avery? But how did Jesse know that James trusted Ormond?

[SPEC]: Jesse knows everything that we know. Considering he's a hacker, he probably has the passwords to all of the MetaDex accts, Little-Boxes, everything. And since Ormond has Jesse's school ID, then Ormond probably knows just as much about Jesse (ie - Paintover, possibly the hacker transcripts, etc.). Confusing!

In my opinion Jesse sent the message and possibly the photos to Dmitri, because he knew that his father has worked with him in Zurich and his father might have mentioned that they are good friends. Then Dmitri passed them on to Ormond, who is looking for information about James Avery.

That's very possible. This is all speculation, but I kind of like that idea, too, because I don't think I necessarily subscribe to the theory that Jesse could trust MLO. Marcus is "up to something", and I have a feeling Jesse knows it. Maybe he thought that he could trust Dimitri, but Dimitri went to Ormond with the tapestry/photos.

Maybe this whole thing will end in a superbrawl between MLO and Jesse. I can just hear MLO saying "This is MY world!!!...ok, uh, press record..."

Insomniac's 'worst spec' ever that Ormond might be hacker might not necessarily be that far off the mark; I mean, Ormond does hold a fairly senior position at Metacortechs/tex, so theoretically he has access to its labs and technicians. So, potentially he could lean on them to do some hacking for him, and then threaten them that if they ever revealed what they did, they'd find themselves on the receiving end of a pink slip (or worse - cf. drowning man).
Or, then again, if Ormond and Katgirl are in cahoots, couldn't she have done the hacking? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the impression I get is that Katgirl is quite technologically skilled, whereas Ormond is 'appears' to be little more than an executive paper pusher.
But that could just be a cover for his real motives (whatever they might be).
