Notes, Speculation and Points of Interest:

-I find it intriguing that the laptop is open and powered on. This is because I always turn my laptop off before going to sleep. I would assume others do the same thing, but I may be wrong. Assuming Jay does the same as I, then it would make sense that the computer was intentionally left on to draw attention to it.

-Since less than a minute has passed since the alarm was turned off, it was set for 8:31

-At 0:56-1:01 Jay appears to be trying to get his bearings. Probably wondering where he was. He then looked out the window to see if he reconized anything

-The TV was behaving oddly, there might be an entry relating to this later.

The sheets probably got shifted while they were filming/they wanted the room to look like he had been messing around by that point. It's nothing significant.
After turning up the contrast on your photo, using the 'sumi-e' filter, separating it into layers by color, backwashing the cyan and magenta layers, adding some fog and a lens flare, painting the picture red with the sponge brush at 10% opacity, using the red-eye reducer, liquefying the picture, adding a motion blur to make it look like the Mach 5, then pasting the original picture on top at 99% opacity, I have found the culprit.
