One of my thoughts regarding the TV (I say one because I hate nailing myself to one speculation regarding this ARG) is that the TV was set to do that to mimic a heartbeat. When I first heard the TV noise that was all I could think about. Then again, I'm a pretty big biology nerd...

But anyway, maybe it was intended to give Jay a wake-up that would feel very definite, hearing a loud heartbeat as the "life" rushes back into him?

Thanks Dray for liking my pet theory! And in regards to the hole in my theory, I think that Moon provides the most succinct rebuttal.

I would also point out again that my theory is entirely speculative, based solely on what I hope to see done with the series based entirely on what kind of story I'd like to see. And it is not the only theory I could see happening by far.

Well, I think it's obvious that the TV turning on and off was there to sound like a creepy heartbeat (from a meta standpoint), but it still needs an in-game explanation like "ooh, the Operator sure hates TVs" or something.

Could be a tape that was left in there (probably was, OOG -- it was way too regular to just be someone turning it on and off!) but could also hint that someone who effs up electronics was recently in the area. Could just be a series of triggers to wake Jay up. Or perhaps to wipe his memory and then wake him up?

Hey guys, nice to see everyone again. Gotta say, this was the greatest gift ever: what better way to wrap up the Thanksgiving break than turning on your computer to check what time your finals are and seeing this? Just a quick question: I saw in some earlier posts that people were referring to the Operator and TTA as individuals seemingly separate from Slendy and Masky. Just so I'm on the same page as everyone, exactly who are we talking about? Operator=Slendy, TTA=Masky, y/n? Also,

As far as Jay is concerned, [The Operator] is what Troy and company called Slenderman, so it's his official name and whatnot. As for TTA/Masky, until otherwise stated, they are two different entities.

Though a lot of people will disagree with me, there's no official say in it yet.

Yay, so excited that MH is back! Theorising time:

Ok, so in #26 we see Alex has been living his happy little life with his girl camera free "I thought we didn't have a video camera?". When she finds the camera he seems slightly perturbed and sure enough when she won't switch it off our favourite tall business man appears. Given that we have had no entries from Jay for the past 7 months I'm going to guess that he did find Alex who told him no cameras is the only way to escape tentacley brain rape. However this didn't suit TTA who wants The Ark (A luxury yacht perhaps cos he loves water so much?) and has found a way to drag Jay back into the game and surrounded him with cameras.

If this proves to be the case then I reckon Alex and Jay will find each other again and decide hiding isn't the way forward again, they have to smackdown Slendy, destroy/sink The Ark and leave TTA/Masky/Tim sulking in the corner somewhere with his mask broken.

In reality they will actually do something that non of us have managed to think of I bet.

Yeah, the Operator is the MH-specific name for the Slender Man; I have been trying to call Masky TTA lately since that seems to be what they are going for in the game. I'm not sure if they're the same or not, but it seems like sticking to the MH-given names is more respectful -- that's just me, though, I don't mind if folks call them other things.

I think that if we knew who made up the $20 thing, they would not be alive right now. See: this link for clarification. XD

That does sound like a fun paper to write, though! I would love to toss you a PM if you like.

Aylana, I think that that holds some weight (despite the yacht chatter, of course~) If they'd discovered that leaving cameras behind was a good way to go about things, they probably wouldn't have old tapes to go over. We might be bereft of delicious entries that happened over the course of the last seven months!

Of course, they could all be TTA-based entries, seeing as how it seems that "someone" has been able to keep tabs on Jay and Alex despite their moving around and trying to stay off the grid. He could have filmed them from a distance, a la Exit and Addition.

Alright, so he wakes up and there's a camera on him, that we know. But he doesn't have any recollection of the past couple of months. What if the first season of Marble Hornets was fabricated? Perhaps placed there by TTA or Slenderman? What if Jay has been in some sort of coma, or suspended animation somewhere and has been continually moved from place to place? This is a bit of a big leap in theory, but what if they're planning on Jay to wake up, for real, find the videos and then be able to do a real investigation? Like hunting down TTA or finding Alex...or finding out where he is for that matter. Like I said, just a theory, not a great one, but a theory nonetheless.

If that was the case, I would think that Jay would not have known of the twitter or try to assure us that he didn't post those last three images. I think trying to put too many layers of memory loss would probably make it too complex to easily tell in a youtube format. I don't think that they're going for Inception, here.

I think that Blstrgmr is touching on the fact that we have no idea what characters like Jay are doing when he goes missing for those two hours and doesn't remember them once he discovers that the time has been lost. Some people have speculated that there's some mind control going on, and I guess that dovetails with the thought that TTA is somehow the Operator's minion; if Tim is TTA and doesn't remember it, it gives us a large base for what they do go about doing when under the Operator's control.

I meant sort of like...they themselves made the actual first season. They didn't alter the memory of Jay, they simply created the entries or the TTA responses. And perhaps Jay has been in a coma or sleep or something since the beginning and is now only being taken out of it. Eh, it doesn't matter. It was an idea worth pitching, eh?
