In regards to the maddening-ness of the pace, I know where you're coming from. I think that after the usual 2-3 week waits towards the end of the first part, and then the 7-month gap, I've gotten used to waiting... (That and, using TheGentlemanCaller as an example: hedging your bets on EVERYTHING BEING AMAZING OMGOMGOMGSPARKLEGASM--wait, it's not all I had hoped it would beeeeeeeeeeee -- tends to be a downer.)

I'm still undecided about if the gal is a coincidental passer-by or Sarah. People keep saying for sure that she's not, but I don't see anyone pointing out why they've said that. I would imagine that it wouldn't be her for OOG reasons, though I don't see why, if they had a chance, they wouldn't try to include characters that they've used before.

I say it's Sarah, but then that's just because a)I want them to have a plan for her, not just 'appear in a couple Entries then disappear FOREVAR!!!1!!!1!!one', and b)if Alex was right about 'them' being 'gone', then why's Jay still around? Didn't he say Jay was 'gone' too? Or am I thinking of Tim (who is clearly still around too, since Jay interviewed him in the 'present' of season 1)?

"Gone" is probably referring to their mental state. Such as in "Their memories are gone." Basically, they lost their memories and the people Alex knew are now "gone."

This may relate to "Control is being taken away from you." As seen in the Return Video, Jay lost both his memories and awareness of the events. If you lose your memories and your awareness of what is/has happened to you, you have basically lost control.

Similarly, "WAKE up" might be referring to remembering, or regaining awareness as Jay did in Entry 27.

I really doubt it was Sarah. Jay would have recognized her or said SOMETHING about her looking familiar. If she had been following him, and rented the room next to his, why would she have walked right past him and risked being noticed? She would have gone back into her room and waited for him to pass.

I think it's just some total stranger who happens to have brown hair and be a female. It doesn't even really look like her.

When the "Sarah" walks by is Jay recording with his hand camera, or is this from the camera strapped to his chest? (I can't go back and review at the moment, I am sitting in class, and should be paying attention.)

If it's the chest cam, it could just be a random person in the hallway that doesn't notice that she's being recorded.

If it's the hand-held camera, just ignore this post. She would have probably acted differently.

Also, renting two rooms for one shot seems like a lot of money to dump. O_o' From what I heard their budget for Marble Hornets amounts to what you could dig out of your pockets on any given day.
