(I kid, I kid...far be it from me to start some wild speculating that Hoody is a forgetful Skully, seriously, I'm poking fun at it!)

I believe it's time for a rousing game of Oregon Trail, using the cast of Marble Hornets as our players. ( I will add story as necessary. )

The group is as follows (using the carpenter family setting.):

1. Alex.
2. J
3. Tim
4. Brian.
5. The Operator.

We start in April of 1812 in the town of Independence.

Alex and the gang begin their journey after buying the following supplies:

Four yoke of Oxen, five hundred pounds of food, ten sets of clothing, twenty boxes of ammunition, and three sets of each type of spare part, leaving the group with a 490 dollar bill.

INDEPENDENCE (April 1, 1848)
Deciding to have meager rations so the food that they will last them for a while, Alex, Tim, J, Brian and The Operator depart from Independence at a steady pace.

A town resident suddenly calls out at the group for no apparent reason, telling them that they wouldn't go into the overlands without at least six oxen. Tim gives this careful thought, and thanks the man by having an abrupt seizure.

The group tosses him into the wagon and sets out.

APRIL 4th

Today is Alex's birthday. The group celebrates by making him a cake made out of sugar, bacon, coffee and eggs.

It was the most Alex had ever vomited on his birthday. Except that one year where Auntie Tilda, forgetting she was well beyond her prime after several dozen peppermint schnapps, shoved Alex's face into the aging, sagging, decrepit, varicose-vein laden sacks of flesh she once called breasts and called out " WHO WANTS TO SEE AUNTIE TILDA GIVE ALEX HIS BIRTHDAY LAP DANCE?!"

The memory of his eight birthday only made Alex vomit harder.

APRIL 7th.
The group arrives at the Kansas River Crossing and decides to admire the scenery now that Alex has been cured of his violent stomach pains.
A strange man accosts them here as well, and tells them not to ford the river deeper than the bed of the wagon. He then reveals the marketing pitch: he wants them to hire him to take them across the river.

Tim, in a fit of violent rage, having been traumatized by salespersons at a young age, suddenly shoves this man's head into the river and drowns him.
No one stops him.

The group decides to caulk their wagon and float it across the river. Nothing impends their journey.

APRIL 11th
Deciding to stop and hunt for food, the group sends Brian into the wilderness to hunt for meat. Brian is successful, managing to shoot a deer as it ran headfirst into a nearby tree. This gives the group sixty pounds of meat.

APRIL 14th
The group stops at the Big Blue River crossing, and as the chirping of someone playing on a nearby MIDI keyboard reverberates through the air, the group cannot help but laugh at the fact that they called this the "Big Blue River". I mean seriously, what's that mountain in the distance? The "Big Gray Mountain"?

A party leader heading east passes you, yelling about the flies and oceans of mud and his fear over being attacked by Indians.
Brian scoffs. "Doesn't he know they're native americans now?"

Everyone nods in silent agreement. Racists. The Operator voices his opinion that racism will never truly go away, and that it's human nature to look down upon those of other races, no matter which race you yourself may be.

At least he tries to, except the sound of his talking causes everyone in a ten yard radius to pass out from their brains being overwhelmed. Nearby, the man's MIDI keyboard distorts and stops working. The Operator sighs. "Happens every time." he mutters to himself, pulling out his piccolo and beginning to practice on it.

When the group awakens and gets their bearings, they decide to again caulk the wagon, not wanting to risk fording it.
However, during a rather rousing game of patty-cake halfway across the river between Brian and Tim, the wagon tips over, causing them to lose two wagon wheels and one wagon tongue.

J only loses his lunch. He watches sadly as a bag containing his favorite kind of bacon and cheese sandwich, an apple, and a small cup of pudding floats down the river.

APRIL 17th.

A thief comes during the night and somehow manages to steal one of the oxen. Alex, in a rage, begins to threaten Tim, whose job it was to look after the oxen. Tim, in return, asks Alex why he should be a good bodyguard for what he's paying him. Alex threatens to break Tim's leg with a rock, before Brian breaks up the fight.

In the distance, they can see the fort they'll soon reach.

APRIL 18th.

The group passes a gravesite, and stops to pay their respects.

" here lies
andy
peperony and
chease "

Any hint of solemnity evaporates after they read that, the group laughing for several minutes. They consider stopping to take pictures with it, but then they remember that they don't have a camera.

Later in the day, one of the oxen becomes injured after The Operator attempts to ride it like a horse.

APRIL 21st

The group reaches Fort Kearny and decides to rest for three days and purchase more food, along with replacement parts and oxen.

APRIL 24th

The group sets out again.

APRIL 29th

Brian goes hunting again. He kills one buffalo and a deer, giving him at least 1000 pounds of food. However, being alone, he couldn't bring any more than 100 pounds back to the camp.
Still, he took pride in the fact that he shot a fucking buffalo.

The group continues on for Chimney rock...

(( Will continue in another post. This is a long post as it is. ))

I tried reading that post, but it was too long. I really lost any interest in reading it.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Or, maybe it was taken.

Alright, so here's part two. I'm gonna try shortening these to simple points of interest with story intersped into them, going by Mariolee's comment. Unless it was sarcasm.
I may just make a new thread for it, but I consider that unnecessary.

Ah well, part two of three.

MAY 8th.
The five depart from Chimney Rock.

*FLIPS THE DISK TO SIDE TWO*

MAY 13th.
They arrive at Fort Laramie and decide to head off at a strenuous pace.

Upon leaving, Brian breaks his arm when the buffalo's family comes for revenge.

MAY 20th.

They make Brian go out for snac--...food anyway.

He kills a second buffalo in a fit of anger, and then shoots a nearby elk because he could. He returns to the camp covered in blood and throws down the half of the buffalo he sawed off for food.

Nobody asks questions.

JUNE 17

The group loses five days after Tim holds the map upside down. Alex once more threatens him with hot rock-on-leg action, and as punishment, tells the group to go forward at a grueling pace for two weeks to make up for lost time.

JULY 1st

Jay has Typhoid.

Tim is found with a broken leg, a rather large, bloody rock nearby. Alex is oddly uncaring about either's affliction, only caring about the goal of reaching Oregon, refusing to stop and treat either.

JULY 7th.

Jay has died.

He is quickly buried and Alex tells the others that they have an hour to reminisce before heading out again.

JULY 24

The group reaches Fort Hall.
The music begins distorting at the picture of the outside of the fort.

JULY 28

The Operator is also found with a broken leg, another bloodied rock nearby.
Earlier in the day, Brian and Tim heard Alex shouting at him because of his "shitty sense of direction". The Operator shouted right back, and Alex fell down unconscious immediately after.

Alex simply said in a monotone that he was innocent and that The Operator "Had it coming anyway".

Brian and Tim consider mutiny.

AUGUST 24

The Operator has died.

The group found him laying face down in a barren field after a second fight with Alex earlier that evening.

He is given even worse treatment than J. Alex orders Brian and Tim to bury him under a pile of dust and leave the grave unmarked, telling them to "let the vultures choke on him".

Brian and Tim now know that Alex has lost his mind. He's become single minded. He, for some inexplicable reason, MUST reach Oregon now. The duo begin formulating a plan on how to deal with Alex in the event that he turns on them.

(( I'll write down the rest and continue tomorrow. Don't want to double post. I'll finish it up then. Sorry if the attempted inclusion of story comes off as odd.))
