*raises hand* Mods! I have a question!

Do we have a thread for introductions? I couldn't find one, was wondering if it might be good to make one. Like, just for new users to say "Oh, my name is so-and-so, I like this and this, I've played x and y" etc. When I first came here I lurked for a long time because I was too nervous to jump right into any of the threads.

I think maybe if we had an introductions thread for new users, they'd be able to get comfortable posting and conversing and wouldn't be so nervous about de-lurking. It might create a friendly atmosphere they could talk in before going and getting right into the thick of decoding/theorizing.

Older users could introduce themselves too I guess, get everyone familiar with each other Smile

What do you guys think? Do you think it'd be a good idea?

SECONDED. It'd be a cool way to compare demographics and such too. Like, "Since you like MH you might like X book/comic/nonARG thing."

Think I've solved the mystery of the Rake. He's Caliban from Shakespeare's "The Tempest". Specifically Michael Clark's portrayal from " Prospero's Books".

Late last night a listener of my Marble Operator netcast alerted me that a review had been left on the show's official page. Yay, I thought, finally a review was posted. This listener went on to tell me the screenname of the user who left the review, and what the review said.

Here's the review.

I'm 99.999999% sure it's a fellow fan. Whoever you are, you're awesome, thanks for the review, nice to know you'll be listening.

Also, they went a step further and altered the default TalkShoe avatar, to look like this. You're quite devoted to this, mystery person.

Now, in the very slim chance it was one of the MH guys...I'd start laughing (and think how awesome that was).

It's easily done, and I have two methods of calling in for free (otherwise you have to use a cell phone). First....well, I was going to suggest calling the normal number (724-444-7444) via GTalk (usually in GMail), but my friends among the TalkShoe support reps tell me that Google has blocked the TalkShoe number for some unexplained reason.

SIP clients, especially X Lite, are your friend for calling simply and for free. Simple instructions are here, and you only have to set the program up the first time, from then on, it's quick and easy to call in. (X Lite is what I use to call in every week)

So yeah, if you're available Tuesday nights at 10 eastern, you can join in, and I'd be glad to have you on the show.

Yeah, Skype works, but it's not free. My method is free. I like free.
