Wait, really? It looks red to me. At least, in the Marble Hornets universe.

There was some debate about this in a thread a couple a of weeks ago. I'll try and dig it up as theres some pretty conclusive evidence on way or the other.

Son of a bitch. I've been deceived!

Well, to be fair, red pops better on black in arts than black on black. If you're illustrating a portrayal of Slenderman where he is maybe a little goofy or stylized, red is the way to go. For something more gloomy or spooky, a black tie will probably work better since it gives an unnerving feeling of conformity and bleakness. A feeling akin to looking at a yellowing collodion photo in an abandoned house.

Besides, a red tie would attract attention way too fast, and that wouldn´t work in the videos where he is practically invisible. And the black suit-tie gives Slendy a sharp-dressed-killer look.

I agree - the red tie is cooler. And in the piece of artwork I was referring to, the red tie certainly stands out and makes him look ominous. Unfortunately, his tie in MH is black Very Happy.

I don't know who is agreeing with who now.

Red ties with black suits make it easier to distinguish between elements in illustrative works. Maybe I'm just defending my purchase of red paint.

Black ties...(see previous comment)

Well... I don't know who I'm agreeing with either, in retrospect.

But I'm just saying, whilst red ties look a bit more awesome and stand out better. In MH Slenderman's tie is black. End of!

A very good choice, indeed.

Relax [take it easy] by Mika has been suggested to have an MH-esque feel before, but I don't see it...

Maybe Sprout Wings by the Mountain Goats gets my vote.

I can see Relax, if nothing else for its lyrics(involving "playing with fire", "there is nothing that we can do", etc.), though the song itself is..while not upbeat...Well, different, I suppose. Still, seems like a possible choice.

Maybe Sprout Wings also seems pretty good("forgetting", "nameless figures", "bad dreams", "old friends...who had gone missing"). Thanks for the suggestions.

Where your eyes don't go - They might be giants
A Violent Yet Flammable World - Au Revoir Simone, maybe
Monster - Automatic Automatic
Another Stranger Me - Blind Guardian
Schizophrenia - Jukebox the Ghost
Subtle Oddities - Lemon Demon (Bran can back me up on this)
Something Glowing - Lemon Demon
Scatterbrained - Lemon Demon
Eighth Wonder - Lemon Demon

"Run Away" by Ironhand. :3 This is the song I most associate with the Slenderman now.

"Somebody's Watching Me" by Rockwell.

[...Did it even need mentioning?]

Haven't gone through all of those yet, but Subtle Oddities, Run Away, and Somebody's Watching Me are all fantastic. I'm also thinking, specifically, of any songs that relate to specific parts of the series(i.e. the pills, forests/woods, videos/cameras, being faceless, masks, etc...). At the risk of sounding repetitive, many thanks for all the help.

So far, have seven songs on the playlist, which include: Psycho Killer by Talking Heads, Mind Forest by Gackt, Maybe Sprout Wings by the Mountain Goats, Relax...Take it Easy by Mika, Run Away by Iron Hand, Subtle Oddities by Lemon Demon, and Somebody's Watching Me by Rockwell. Hoping to have ten total(so three more). Will probably look through the rest of the songs that Rather Dashing posted. Any other suggestions(either related by title, themes, lyrics, etc..)?

Edit: Also, might include Sharp Dressed Man by ZZ Top. Obviously doesn't have the whole creepy feel to it, but picturing a mash-up of clips of the Operator with that song, let alone him in the SDM music video...Mind blowing.
