monsters are real

Heh, I got on to see if anyone else had seen the new Doctor Who episode, and connected it with slenderman. The new monsters look like a cross between Slendy, and demetors from Harry Potter. It reminded me a lot of Marble Hornets, because of
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
How the monsters cause memory loss, and that there seems to be a theme emerging of capturing them on camera.

Oh god, I wrote this like a high-school essay response.

I can see slender man being explained through these things

Steven Moffat, the lead writer on Doctor Who this series, almost totally took the Slenderman idea. I mean really? Tall monster with a bald head in a businessman suit? Someone needs to ask him about it. Still, great episode.

The "Tall Men" in Buffy the Vampire Slayer are similar as well, but they were around before Slenderman to my knowledge.

Also, my Deviantart informs me that it's board member Dray's birthday, so Happy Birthday, Dray! ( Even though I haven't seen her post in a while. Saw her when I was lurking here, and someone posted a link to her DA account. She's a fantastic artist. )

And to everyone else, Happy Easter! Should I post a pic of my Slender Bunny?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
And possibly Slendy sickness, with River. Amy's sickness is probably pregnancy-related, but why would River be sick?

The monsters are actually supposed to be based off of that Edvard Munch painting, the scream.

Look here:

Which makes a lot more sense than Slenderman, what with their faces and all.

Faces maybe, but the suit? The long arms? The fact that they are always in the corner of your eye or off in the distance? Memory loss, sickness, it can't all be a coincidence.

So while I was searching for images of/related to ToTheArk on Google the other day, I found this guy:

The children get exposed younger and younger each year...

Coincidentally, we now know that ToTheArk

Wasn't season 1 filmed in Tuscaloosa, and don't they still live there? I checked out Joseph's FB page and he is ok. Posted some unbelievably horrific pics though. Any word from Troy?

Yeah, they're in Tuscaloosa. Troy and Tim have both also checked in on facebook. Seems they're all okay, thank goodness.

Just a question, but why does everyone keep spoiler-ing everything about the tornadoes.

It's out-of-game. Some people don't like killing the immersion, so anything from the creators' Facebook/Twitter/Blog usually gets spoiler tag'd.

Well, I'm not sure that should apply in the off-topic thread.

Either way, Joseph posted this article on Cracked about Slender Man. I laughed entirely too hard at the Marble Hornets part.

I'm thankful that the guys are safe. I'm also in alabama, and just left my town to go to a friends house since we won't get power back until wednesday at the earliest. No one I know has been affected too badly by the storms, thank goodness. It's good to know that the MH crew is safe as well.

But this is OT, shoudn't it be considered safe here?

You should be prepared for some OOG stuff in this topic.

I agree. Just pointing out that it's sort of the trend/accepted-behavior. Maybe just force of habit since people are used to using it on other threads? *shrug*
